Stanley R. Anderson

Suddenly on Sunday, April 25, 2004 Stanley R. Anderson, beloved son of the late Zelma Dorsey (Biggus) and Stanley P. Anderson, departed this life. He was born on December 28, 1930 in Frederick County. He was the devoted father of Darrie Anderson Neely and Dwain Anderson.Rudolph, as he was so affectionately known, attended the Frederick County schools. After his schooling, he joined the United States Army and served during the Korean War for four years.After his tour of duty with the army, Rudolph met and married Mary Coleman. From this union, two children were born, Darrie Anderson Neely and Dwain Anderson.Rudolph was truly a family man and he maintained various positions at the A&P Bakery, where he was employed for over forty years or more. He retired from the A&P Bakery in 1991.His marriage to Mary C. Anderson ended in divorce.Rudolph was a mild-mannered person, but he loved to talk.He enjoyed being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They seemed to have brought him such great joy.He had a very pleasant smile and a very kind heart.As for himself, Rudolph was a very plain person…nothing extravagant for him. He would always say, “Give him the simple things in life,” and he would be the happiest person around. He will be sorely missed.In 1991, Rudolph was a very plain person…nothing extravagant for him. Neely; son, Dwain Anderson; grandchildren, Michelle Wilson, Shamirra Neely, Christopher Neely Jr., Shameila, Dacha, Dwain Jr., Saraiah and Shaila Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Makeda and Saadi Johnson, Christopher Neely III, D’Najah Winkler and Roderick Scribner; son-in-law, Christopher Neely Sr.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Anderson; three brothers, Stanley, Lawrence and Charles Anderson; five sisters, Charlotte, Thelma, Estelle, Bethel and Catherine; (one sister and one brother preceded him in death); aunt, Catherine Biggus; uncle, Lawrence Biggus; four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
