Stanley Lee Ross

Stanley "Nut" L. Ross, Jr., son of the late Stanley L. Ross Sr and Paulette Ross, was born on April 27, 1974 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on April 1, 2009 after a short illness. His maternal grandmother, Mary "Nunnie" Trusty and uncles, Edward Trusty, Sr and Anthony Ross preceded him in death.Nut, as he was affectionately known, received his education at Southwestern High School. He attended the Community College of Baltimore majoring in business. He received a certification in Carpentry from City Build Group Vocational Trade School. Upon completion of his education, he became a youth advisor at the Baltimore Prevention Coalition mentoring children which was his passion. His last employment was with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He was a lifelong friend to all who knew him.In 2002, he married Courtney Myles, and from this union three sons were born, Rashaad, Malik and Jalen. Family was Nut's greatest joy and he truly enjoyed spending time with his sons. Nut called his clan "The Ross Boys" and they could be seen ofter catching a movie, eating dinner, playing football and shopping.Nut made numerous friends wherever he went and was known as a jokester. He loved to agitate folks to get them riled up. All of his games were in fun and the whole room laughed at his antics. He loved to dance and he could even carry a tune when singing. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. As many folks will say, Nut was always a true friend and a devoted family man.He leaves to celebrate his life, Courtney Myles-Ross; three sons, Rashaad, Malik and Jalen; one daughter, Bree Edwards-Ross; his mother, Paulette Ross; stepfather, Albert Ford; one sister, Destiny Ford; paternal grandmother, Rosa Townes; maternal grandfather, Edward Trusty; seven aunts, Vernida Schaffer (Irvin), Josephine Shearn (Tommine), Irene Gordon, Bertha Southall, Evelyn Counts, Wanda Trust, and Doris Johnson; six uncles, David Trusty, Phillip Trusty (Wanda), Kenneth Trusty (Valeria), Wilbert Trusty, Lorenzo Ross, and Maurice Townes; godmother, Betty Eldridge; parents in-law, Noah and Joyce Myles; brother in-law, Christopher Myles (Benzena); a host of cousins, godsister, Malacka Reed; godbrother, Martez Shelton; their mother, Gwendolyn Rivera and a host of family and friends.
