Shirley Solese

SHIRLEY McFALL SOLES, daughter of Otis McFall, Sr. and the lat Julia Davis McFall. She departed this life on September 2, 2010. She received her education at Lake Clifton High School in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of nineteen, she graduated from Watterson Skill Center and obtained her nursing license. She then became employed at Maryland General Hospital, University Hospital, All Staffing Inc. and worked as a private duty nurse. Moreover, Shirley was known for working long hours on double shifts. In fact, it was abnormal for her not to work double shifts. She attended New Antioch Church and recently became a member. In June of 2005, Shirley married her long time life-mate Tommie Nelson Solese. Shirley gave birth to one child, Ms. LaKeisha Shante McFall of Baltimore, Maryland. Shirley was also blessed to have two loving articulate grandchildren. Empress Millennium Cox and Lamont Leon Cox, Jr. Shirley made an abundance of friends in the neighborhood with neighbors and children. Everyone loved her charisma and charm. Shirley was also known for reaching out and opening her heart to help others. Shirley also had a deep desirable drive to help others and push them in the right direction or path. For example, she pushed her daughter to finish high school while she was pregnant and also to finish two college degrees. In addition, she pushed family members in the right direction for proper resources. Although Shirley was in a wheelchair, her disability did not keep nor hold her down. She loved and cherished her daughter and two grandchildren. She leaves to grieve: her husband, Tommie; daughter, LaKeisha (Lamont); two grandchildren, Empress and Lamont; five sisters, Mary Alford, Belinda Jones, Pandora Woodard, Julia McFall (David Baker) and Gloria McFall (Wilbert Ringgold); two brothers, Moses Davis and Maurice McFall (two brothers preceded in death, Otis McFall, Jr. and Gerald Michael McFall); three brothers-in-law, Frank Alford, Prince Woodard and Tony Melvin; on loving aunt-in-law, Sallie Mae Davis; three stepdaughters, Tanya, Towanda and Thomasina; and an host of family, friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews.
