Sheila Coleman

Sheila Ann Coleman, daughter of the late Agatha Lavonia Westmoreland and Jesse James Westmoreland was born March 21, 1949 in Baltimore, Md. She sadly departed this life on November 21, 2023. Sheila was the 3rd oldest child of her 6 siblings. In her early teens, Sheila had a for passion for fashion, so her mom sent her to Patricia Stevens modeling school. Sheila was educated through the Baltimore City school system, then she attended BCCC where she studied Nursing and her career in that filed that lasted 50 plus years. In her earlier days coming up she enjoyed family gatherings where they would play cards, pity pat was her favorite. At the age of 18 she had her first son Patrick Westmoreland and welcomed her 2nd son Keith Westmoreland 4 years later. In 1974 she married Oliver 'O'Conner Coleman. From that union came 3 children Devrron, Kimberly, and Chrisdin Coleman. She and her late husband would late separate in 1983. At the age of 36 she met longtime friend and companion James "Hollywood" Henderson They had a friendship that last over 30 years, traveling and partying was their thing. As her years went on she became more settled and started to become more settled and started to become more of a home body. Her joys had now become beautifying her front and back yards, going to Walmart, and her favorite of all the home shopping channel. In 2020 she had become ill with covid and her life took a drastic turn. Life as she knew it was no more. During that time she developed a linking for what had become one of her favorite things other than coffee, slurpies! They kept her calm. Sheila leaves to cherish her memories 1 great aunt, Catherine Dawkins; 3 sisters, Brenda Watts, Stephanie Westmoreland and Simone Westmoreland; 2 sons, Patrick Westmorland and Devrron Coleman; 2 daughters, Kimberly Coleman-Fliggins and Chrisdin Coleman; 13 grandchildren, Patrick, Byron, Keith, Michael, Devrron, Darron, Yaniqueka, Alexis, Amanda, Samiya, Shaliayah and Makenzie; 13 great grandchildren 6 nieces Leslie, Raynette, Stephanie, Jessica, April and Simone 4 nephews, Tyrone, Keith, Raymond and Roderick, along with a host of cousins, friends and family. Sheila was proceeded in death by parents Agatha and Jessie Westmoreland, brothers Roy Westmoreland and Roderick Thomas, husband Oliver Coleman, son Keith Westmoreland, granddaughter Gloria "Tierra" Little, favorite uncle James Pinder and favorite aunt Rose Bradley.
