Shawn H. Thomas

SHAWN HORACE THOMAS, better known as “Feet,” son of Paulette Suell and the late Horace Thomas, was born on July 14, 1977. He departed this life on March 30, 2024, at the age of 46. Feet, as he was affectionately known, received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System where he graduated from Lake Clifton High School. He was a friendly, outgoing, fun individual who always greeted everyone with a smile. Feet was a jack-of-all trades! He had many hobbies like fishing, hunting, car shows, working on cars, carpentry, cooking and pets. Out of all these roles, Feet loved being a dad to his daughter, Cassie whom he affectionately called “Lil Baby”. Feet leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Cassie “Lil Baby” Thomas, Kaylee, Ryant; mother, Paulette Suell (Mike Suell); two brothers, Laquan Suell and Joseph Ashby; longtime girlfriend, Christian Randle; two cousins, Danisha “Mutt” Batchelor and Tony Smith; one godson, Jaylen Palmer; longtime friends, Jayson (Black) Palmer, Montgomery, Warehouse, Rod and Rell; and a host of other relatives and friends. To My Son, My son, you fought a good fight. Every race has a finish line in this thing we call life, and this was your time. You came to me on a hot July night. From then on, I nurtured you, laughed with you until your last breath. I love you, Shawn. I can hear you saying, don’t cry Mama for I am in a better place surrounded by family. A week before you passed, God was showing me signs. My neighbor called and saw a red bird looking into my window and I said that’s not good luck. The same day, Mike and Cassie went and saw 2 doves that come back every year. I told them that was Grandma Dot and Pop looking over us. We have since told Cassie that you are with Grandma Rose. I told you, that u were not grown until u turned 50! My father would tell me, Paulette don’t argue with the grandbaby. I love u and thank u for blessing me with Cassie. It took him 2 hours to call after she was born, and he was holding her like a football. My heart is heavy for my son, but I know God will carry me through. I wasn’t sure of the signs, but you took my hands, looked at them back and forth like Grandma Dot. Thank u God for calming my heart during this time. My heart yearns for my son.
