Shawn Stewart

Shawn Stewart, son of the late Delores Ann Burrus and James Stewart, was born September 3, 1973, in Baltimore, Md. He departed his life on July 22, 2023. In the early years, the family resided in Freedom Way, where Shawn received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. In 2006 he attended All State Career School where he obtained his CDL & Hazmat Certifications. Upon completion of his CDL training, he became employed by USALCO for 17 yrs. He had a dream of one day owning his very own trucking company. S&S Trucking (Shawn & Sam Trucking) One thing for sure, Shawn was a trend-setter, he loved his designer labels, especially his Cartier shades. When Shawn wasn't styling and profiling, he would focus on his fitness routing. You would often see him running laps around Montebello Lake or on the court shooting hoops. Although he was serious about his fitness, Shawn would never turn down a cookie, especially Snickerdoodles. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his biker friends. Family and friends would attest that Shawn had a heart of GOLD, he didn't take things personal. If you needed a listening ear, he would always be there to offer advice without judgement. Shawn was very out-going, he would light up a room. Many knew him as the "Life of The Party" and could always find him on the dance floor doing the same 'ole two step to every song. He definitely left his mark on anyone who crossed his path. His untimely death was truly heartbreaking to many. He will truly be missed. Shawn will be welcomed into the afterlife in the loving arms of his Mother, Delores Ann Burrus, Grandmother, Bessie Bennett; an two Aunts, Janice and Jackie. Shawn leaves to cherish his memories to his devoted father, James Stewart and Stepmother Lula Stewart; One Grandmother, Georgia Mae Burrus; One Brother, Harold Jones; Five Sisters, Sheree Scott (Kendall), Jakia Stewart, Shawneka Stewart, Danyette (Natasha), and Stephanie, One Godson, Da'shaw; Three nieces, Dimirra, Torian, and Tymijia; Four Nephews, Jordan, Derrick, Ayden and Sebastian; and a host of other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and close friends.
