Shavon M. Everett

On Monday, July 7, 2008, SHAVON MONIQUE MONIQUE EVERETT, daughter of the late Thomas Everett Jr. and Karen Benita Stewart, departed this life after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 2, 1980 in Baltimore. Maryland.Shavon received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was enrolled in the ROTC program and was a member of the Color Guard at Fairmount-Harford High School. Whenever there was an event at the school she was the Color Guard who led the march, which made her grandmother very proud.Shavon worked for several temp. agencies. She later became employed at a car dealership on Belair Road as a secretary.When she was just a little girl she prayed heartful prayers for her family. Later she was baptized by Rev. Nathaniel Higgs and became a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to the Psalms of the Bible, and her favorite was the 23rd Psalm. When hearing the 23rd Psalm, she always had a smile on her face. Shavon knew that God would provide, direct and protect her path.Shavon gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named "Treasure" on April 21, 2005 despite the fact that medical doctors said she could never have children. "What a Blessing from the Lord."Shavon made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. She was caring, kind, and showed compassion for others especially for her devoted grandmother, Marie. Shavon loved children; whenever you saw her you would see her with someone's child. Also, she devoted herself to her godchild Ne-Ne whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed music, just having fun, spending time with her family and friends, she loved to read and solving various crossword puzzles, taking time with children and helping out whenever she could, and her favorite color was pink. Shavon was known as "Big Shay", "Shiesty", and "Soldier". She enjoyed hanging out with her favorite cousins Lil Lee, Latiea, and Miesha.Shavon's father Thomas Everett Jr., mother Karen Benita Stewart, brother Marlin Stewart, and uncles Bruce Stewart and Gregory Everett all preceded her in death.She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Treasure Amarri Ty'Shaye'one Scott; grandmother, Marie Everett; grandfather, Thomas Everett; three sisters, Chantrice Benita Everett, Iesha Stewart and Shantell Wright; brother, Willie Stewart; three special aunts, Lina Everett-Dashields (known as Aunt Fay), Anglea Everett and Frances Carr; and a host of aunts and uncles; niece, Chantrice McCready; nephew, Dontavius Everett; cousins, North Carolina family members, and many friends.
