Sharron Denise Brown

On January 3, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York, Florence Anderson and Eric Coburn welcomed a precious gift of a baby girl they named Sharron Denise Anderson. Sharron’s early education started at P.S. 54 then she graduated from Prospect Heights High School. Sharron continued her education in various areas. Her passion for helping others contributed to obtaining her Nursing license. She had an elegance which prompt her to further her education and attend Flair Beauty Academy where she received her Cosmetology license. She enriched her education by always attending a class or seminar to keep abreast of the latest technology. All of her training contributed to her becoming gainfully employed by MCV Hospital for over 15 years where she never met a stranger. Wherever she was needed she delivered her assistance. Sharron married Horace Alexander, Jr. in December 1973. From that union four beautiful daughters were born. She extended her love to all of the neighborhood children and helped raise them as her own. She was accomplished in knitting, crocheting and was well known for cooking meals for anyone who was hungry. She was forever humble, trustworthy, compassionate and the matriarch of the family. Sharron lived a life of service to her family and her friends. Sharron then married Louis Brown in April, 1999 where they remained married until his passing in December 2010. Sharron was baptized in 1979 in Frankfurt Germany, she learned bible truths which fulfilled her life with great joy and determination to serve her God Jehovah. Her desire was to declare the Kingdom message, where life in paradise will bring blessings to all mankind. Our beloved Sharron suddenly passed away on February 23, 2016. Leaving to cherish her memories: four daughters, Shanna Ragland (Kenneth), Tania Alexander, Nyette Alexander and Tiffany Alexander; sisters, Geraldine DeBerry, Shirley Coburn and Cheryl Darbouze; grandchildren, Ja’Shaun O’Neil, Nyheim Robinson, India Robinson, Miyonna Bells, Malik Bells, Kavon Ragland, Paiton Edmonds and Maurice Johnson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Messiah Fobbs, Jace O’Neil, Kennedy O’Neil (March 2016); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends. Our love for our dear Sharron will remain forever in our hearts.
