Sharon Patrice Parker

Sharon was the youngest of a set of twins born on August 4, 1972 to Delores and the late Thurman L.Parker in Prince George, Virginia (Fort Lee's Kenner Hospital). She was raised and educated in Richmond Public Schools, Richmond, Virginia. Sharon was a graduate of John Marshall High (1995), Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, BS, Psychology (1995), and Strayer University, Master of Business Administration (2004). A woman of great faith, Sharon received her early Christian Education foundation at Fourth Baptist Church under the leadership of the Dr. Robert L.Taylor. Her Christian walk continued in adulthood with Joshua Generation Ministries (Apostle Althinia Hunt, D.D.) and at the time of her death, Walking By Faith Ministries (Pastor Bernard Bibbs) where she served as church administrator. Sharon will also be missed by numerous communities of friends and co-workers via: John Marshall High School Class of 1990, Lincoln University (PA) Class 1995, Edgehill Chamberlayne Court Civic Association, Anthem, Fourth Baptist Church, Joshua Generation Ministries and Walking By Faith Ministries. Sharon was also a former member of the JUnity Choir! Sharon was a beautiful, pleasant woman who was loved by all . She always came in with a glorious smile and infectious laugh. There wasn't a task, favor, errand, assignment or project that Sharon would say no to for a family member, friend , neighbor, church member, or co-worker. She was truly our Wonder Woman. Sharon was as good as gold . Sharon was predeceased by her pop-pop, Thurman L. Parker and dogs, Queenie, Rin Tin, and Jo Jo. On Thursday, January 12, 2017, God called his child home to be received into the arms of the Savior and now walks with the Lord. She is survived by her mother, Delores DeLoatch Parker; sisters, Valerie and her twin,Karon Parker; nephew, Marcus J. Parker; aunts, Dr. Vasti DeLoatch, Virginia Parker and Essie Mae Riddick DeLoatch; uncle, Lloyd Parker, Sr., devoted cousins, Dr. Cheryl DeLoatch Frierson (Morgan Thomas), Marcella Yvette Parker and Gloria Goode Branch (Kevin, Sr.); other cousins,Janice Ricks (Yolanda Hardy), Jo Anne Parker Brown, Evelyn Parker, Stephanie P. Gay (Ashley),April Parker, Erika Parker, Dr. Sandra J. DeLoatch, Gillis Parker, III, Lloyd C. Hunt, Sr., William T. Hunt (Gloria), Scotty L.Parker (Dia), Lloyd Parker, Jr. (Andrea), Marcus Parker, Sr. (Yolanda), Charles DeLoatch and Earl DeLoatch, Sr.; beloved godchildren, the Yuille- Mitchell family; and a host of beloved extended family and friends along with her beloved pet dogs, Max, Foxy Roxie and four-legged cousin Onxy.
