The Legacy of our beloved SANVETTA ANNETTE KNIGHT-HALL GRAVES, known as “Sandy” to most, was born on November 9, 1966, in Baltimore, MD to the late Deborah Taylor and Henry Knight. God Called Her To Glory on June 4, 2025 at her home. Sandy spent her early years in the East Baltimore Area known for being loving but fierce. Later on in life she would move to the Northwest Baltimore area. Where she would later reconnect with her childhood sweetheart Anthony Hall, love of her life whom she married on June 8, 1996 and she built a life filled with love and communion. After suffering from the tragic passing of her beloved husband. She continued to love and nature her sons and work as a nursing technician for Johns Hopkins Hospitals for 5 years. She then returned to East Baltimore, embracing her roots and reconnecting with family and friends in the neighborhood that shaped her. Sandy was a dedicated nurse technician for over 17 years, a profession that reflected her deep compassion and commitment to caring for others. She was a passionate advocate for addiction recovery, drawing from her own experiences to inspire and support those on their journey to healing. Known for her strength, love, and resilience, Sandy was a devoted mother to her three sons, Alonzo G. Hester Jr., Andre D. Davis and Adrian D. Davis; and a cherished and honorable grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Talia Hester, Aiyonna Hester, Akayla Hester, Alonzo Hester Ill, Dreon Davis, Adonis Davis and Carter Davis. She was fiercely protective of her family and often said, “If I say I got you, I got you” …. and she meant just that. Sandy’s love for her family was boundless, bold and admirable. She played no games when it came to their well-being. Raised in the Family Bible Church, Sandy’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She attended Patterson High School and pursued higher education, completing three years of community college. Her journey was marked by resilience and a belief in second chances, earning her the title of “Bounce Back Queen” among those who knew her. Sandy is survived by her sons, Alonzo G. Hester Jr., Andre D. Davis, and Adrian D. Davis; daughter-in-law, Ashley Hester; grandchildren, Talia Hester, Aiyonna Hester, Akayla Hester, Alonzo Hester Ill, Dreon Davis, Adonis Davis, and Carter Davis; siblings, Tikisha (Nikki) Knight, Henry (Ty) Knight, Scott Williams, and Javon Williams; niece and daughter, Trinity Knight; and step “mother”, Gloria Knight.
