Russell Lewis III

Russell Lewis, III, son of the late Russell Lewis, Jr. and Sandra Denise Rogers, was born on February 2nd, 1988 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Gone too soon but never will be forgotten, Russell took flight to his final destination on November 24, 2012 to be reunited with his loving mother and father. From aged 6 to 23 Russell lived with his Aunt Shirley, Uncle Felix and his cousins Karl and Felix on Reverdy Road. This was considered home and family for Russell. During this time, he developed many close friendships with the staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Unit, especially his long time physician, Dr. Nancy Hutton. Russell often said that he was blessed and thankful for the care and love that he received during these years. Russell received his education in Baltimore City Public School Systems where he graduated from W.E.B. DuBois High School in June 2006. Russell continued his education at Lincoln Technical Institute and attained a diploma as an Electronic Systems Technician, in March 2010. This was quite an accomplishment for Russell since he loved electronics and taking apart anything with a battery! Through all of his hardships and battles, Russell was very determined and was not one to change his mind easily when he thought he was right about what was best for him. Russell had a quick wit and had a dry sense of humor. He was also quite the charmer with those long eyelashes and he was able to work the crowd to his advantage. Receiving the best birthday present ever, Russell married the love of his life, Jasmine Lewis, on February 3rd, 2012. The two were inseparable and loved each other very dearly! Russell’s favorite pass times were rooting for the Miami Heat and the local sports teams, especially the Baltimore Ravens! He knew every Raven statistic and was often the loudest person when watching games. A long running family joke was his sincere desire to be a football player; although he was better suited as a manager or coach! He also enjoyed playing card games, competing and playing games on his PS3 like madden and 2k with his closest friends, buying watches, buying the newest cellphone, going to the movies and spending time with his wife and family. Russell was also known and loved by many especially his extended family and the staff at the John Hopkins Harriet Lane Clinic. Russell leaves to mourn: a devoted wife and soul mate Jasmine Lewis; his Aunt Shirley Maple and Uncle Felix Maple; one sister, Russtina Lewis; one brother, Angelo Randolph; his favorite niece, Symphony Lewis; two cousins, Felix Maple III and Karl Maple; loving aunt, Marilyn Shorter, four sisters-in-law, Tiphani Glover, Janice Whitaker, Sharon Harper and Kadeisha Robbins; mother-in-law, Patricia Jones; a host of nieces and nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; relatives and friends.
