Ruby Jean McCall

Ruby Jean was born the fifth of ten children to loving parents the late Jeridene (nee Wilkins) and Booker T. Faulcon.She was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools and competed her education by earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Urban Education from the Antioch College. Ruby gave her life to Christ while attending Mount Pleasant Baptist church. As a young adult, she attended Eastern United Methodist Church with her family.She was employed with the State of Maryland for over 25 years. Under the Department of Human Resources, Ruby worked as a Case Manager for the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, an Investigator for the Quality Control Division and a Forms Specialist in the Forms Management Division. After her retirement in 1995, Ruby spent her leisure time filled with family activities, traveling and surrounded by friends and much love.She was joined in matrimony to Gazzater Parham and was blessed with a devoted son, Tyrone Anthony “Tony” Parham. Later she married Jesse McCall and was blessed with her loving daughter, Niccole Lynn McCall. Ruby cherished the love of her life, a granddaughter, Tyler Michelle Davis and has earned the title of “ the doting Grandma.”Ruby Jean is best known for her friendly and warm personality. She was out going and always the life of the party. She loved life, family and friends. She was and avid “bargain-hunting shopper.” She could have created the bumper sticker… “I brake for flea markets.” Her favorite holiday was Christmas; a time that she enjoyed giving gifts, sharing laughter and memories.“Jeanie,” as her family fondly called her, believed in living life to its fullest. She enjoyed good conversation, dancing, telling funny stories, playing games and participating in family gatherings, which were marked by more love and fun.Jeanie leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Anthony T. Parham; a daughter, Niccole L. McCall; a granddaughter, Tyler; a special son, Darius Davis, a godson, Aaron Lawson; two brothers, Booker T. Faulcon and Harvey L. Faulcon; seven sisters, Mattie Wesley, Frankie Lawson, Joyce Melvin, Margo Tucker, Jerdener O’Neal, Elena Houston, Linda Faulcon; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Faulcon, Bettie Faulcon, Four brothers-in-law, Calvin Wesley, Oscar Melvin, Willie O’Neal, Robert B. Houston; eighteen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
