Ruby C. Tucker

On December 4, 1950 and anger Ruby was born in Roanoke, Virginia. She was given as a gift to the late Terry Dennis and the late Irene Anderson. She was raised, nurtured and cared for by Irene and the late Joseph Anderson. On April 30, 2002 God gave Ruby back her wings and took her home. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and received her associate’s degree in psychology at the Baltimore City Community College. Through her travels she met, fell in love and married Michael Tucker on August 16, 1985. Michael’s love for this angel has transcended time. Even into the day of her passing the two were side-by-side. Ruby had a pure heart. She cared for any and everyone. Friend or foe no one was exempt from her loving kindness. She was a counselor, mediator, mother, sister, friend, aunt, niece and provider. She was anything that anyone needed at any given time. Yet, above all this she had a laugh that could be heard anywhere at anytime. The angel laughed often. She laughed when angry. She laughed in sadness. She laughed with you. She laughed for you and she laughed for herself. Her laughter silenced any tears, which may have stained her precious face. Her laughter illuminated her spirit as well as any one else’s. Her laughter kept her spirits high. However, her spiritual hunger was great. She fed this hunger in her early years by singing on the gospel choir at Concord Baptist Church. Later in life she joined New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Michael Tucker. She leaves with broken hearts one daughter and four sons, Chrissy, Brandon, Kasz, Kortez and Michael Tucker, Jr.; three granddaughters who have brightened her days, Missy, Ariel and Gabby; four sisters and two brothers, Nadean Canty, Darlene Faulkner, Glenda Carter, Jo Anne Swann, Orrin Anderson and Howard Anderson; four brothers-in-law, Joanne Merritt and Rosalind Tucker; two spiritual sisters, Indelia Abraham, Victoria Barnes and one spiritual brother, Michael Barnes.And let us not forget her godsons Larry Nance, Shawn Smith, Marcus Smith, Ricky Jennings and Dominic Smith. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
