Ronnie Thomas

Ronnie Milton Thomas, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 1, 1948 to the late Milton Joseph Thomas and Rosalee Moore. He peacefully departed this life on November 23, 2024, with his beloved wife by his side. Ronnie received his formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools. He did not pursue any additional education as he started working at a young age to take care of his mother who was failing in health at the time. Ronnie worked with and retired from the Baltimore Civic Center. Down through the years, Ronnie was known to be a family man and some one who loved to laugh and joke. He was a sharp dresser who loved his hats. Ronnie enjoyed listening to all types of music. He was also a sports enthusiast and was known to love riding bicycles. Ronnie enjoyed eating good food and used to enjoy eating lunch at Lexington Market. In 2001, Ronnie married the love of his life, Paulette. He was a faithful member of the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic, and he enjoyed fellowshipping with Paulette and some of their church members at Cracker Barrel after church on Sundays. Ronnie’s life touched countless others with love, kindness, a deep devo tion to his faith, and that winning smile. A man of great character, he was known for his compassion, his generosity ty, and his gentle spirit. He had a heart for others and was always ready to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or provide comfort during difficult times. His love for family was evident, and his relationships were built on trust, respect, and a deep sense of loyalty. Ronnie’s legacy is not one of fame or worldly success; it is one of faithful ness, service, and love. He taught us how to live faithfully, how to trust in God even in times of difficulty, and how to always put others before our selves. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us as we go forward. Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 23 years, Paulette Thomas; one daughter, Tamara (Gary) Thomas-McDowell; two grandsons, Gary Jr. and Daryl Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Autumn; siblings Ruby (Ricky) Feabry of Ringgold, GA, Brenda (Leonard) Washington of Hampton, VA, Clayton Thomas of Baltimore, MD, Benita Howard of Randallstown, MD, and Russel Thomas of Long Island, NY; a very close aunt, Yvonne Pierce of Baltimore, MD; one stepson, Andrew (Ophelia) Smith; two step-granddaughters, Channing (UK) and Chykeyah (Dubai); mother-in-law, Elfreda Rodgers; sisters-in-law, Angelina, Jacqueline, Lorna, and Elaine (UK); and a host of nieces, nephews, and long-distance relatives. He will be greatly missed.
