Robert Yates Wilson

Robert Yates Wilson, son of Robert and Vera Wilson was born on October 15, 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland. For words cannot express the great sorrow we felt as he departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.Yates had a strong love for family as he enjoyed spending time with his siblings and his nieces and nephews. His favorite pastimes, was making other people laugh and he would often day that when he grew up he wanted to be a comedian. He also enjoyed being at home with his brother (Mario) and cousins, watching the “WWE” and later practicing his own “WWE” moves on them. Due to his strength, which he compared to that of a lion, he deemed himself as the ‘Head Honcho”. He likewise took great pleasure in watching and playing with his friends in the neighborhood basketball games. He also loved the game of baseball were he played for the Northwood Baseball League. He had an undying passion for playing video games and dirt bike rider, his mother and brother would often hear him imitating the sounds of the “revving dirt bike” as he slept.Yates, most endearing pastime was the time he spent caring for and sharing with his greatest fan, his son, Jaylen. For he held a special place in his heart for Jaylen (his legacy) always praying that he will become all that God has purposed for him.Yates’s other greatest fans, his grandparents, William and Ernestine Green; and Audrey Wilson, have all transitioned from this earthly realm to greet him on the peaceful shore.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Jaylen Robert, his parents, Robert and Vera, one brother, Mario, four sisters, Penny, Daniell, Tiffany and Kim, two brother-in-laws, Kiark and Lkemeul, one sister-in-law, Nikki, three uncles William, Joseph and Daniel, seven aunts; Julie, Linda, Audrey, Doretha, Roslyn, Selina and Novella, three nephews; Mario, Jaylin and Daeyane, six nieces; Kayah, Amayah, Nyemah, Aaliyah, Precious and Dominique, special cousins that he also held close to his heart, Priscilla and Kenny and too many more, to be named in Baltimore, MD., Atlanta, GA, and South Carolina. Devoted friends, Maurice, Matthew, Antoine, Troy, Donte’, Amina and Nanette, four special friends; Flora, Shanita, Christy, Shaneka, Trina and a hosts of other family and friends.
