Robert Antione White

Robert Antoine White, the first born child of Robert and Regina White, was born on December 16, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this on October 27, 2011 after a brief illness. Robert received his education at Baltimore City College in Maryland. He continued his education at Coppin State University, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from Goucher College. Robert’s teaching career began in the inner city of Baltimore, Maryland where he taught, loved, and nurtured children as if they were his own. Robert walked the streets in the evening with other men encouraging wayward children to return to school and take education seriously. Robert freely gave of his own time and made many personal sacrifices to help students. Robert challenged and broadened the minds of his students with all kinds of innovative techniques, strategies, and technologies Robert taught in the Baltimore County Public School System for over thirteen years. He was a site based manager, coordinator, and supervising teacher for many Goucher College interns. However, his true passion was in teaching Mathematics and Reading to younger students at Winand Elementary School. He shared a mutual love and respect with the staff as they worked together to improve the education of the children. Robert enjoyed spending time with his entire family. He loved to travel the United States and Internationally. He enjoyed cooking gourmet meals, lasagnas, and cheesecakes were his specialties. He hosted numerous cookouts for family and friends. He enjoyed all holidays, but he especially loved Christmas and giving gifts galore. He watched all kinds of movies and he studied the Bible regularly. Robert wouldn’t hesitate to share an appropriate scripture with the faithful. He doted on his parents, younger brother Eugene, and younger sister Jeneen. This obituary cannot sum up the love that Robert shared with his family, friends, and co-workers. Mourning his departure from this earthly life, but rejoicing in his new life with Christ, Robert leaves to glorify in his memory: his mom and dad, Robert and Regina White; one sister, Jeneen White; one brother, Eugene White; beloved grandmother, Marian James; grandfather, Robert White Sr.; special aunts, Angela and Cherita James, Renee Ford, Patricia Williams, and Carolyn Foster; uncles, Jeffery, Kenneth and Anthony James, Andre’ Brown, Earnest, Kevin and Therman White; cousins, Kiara, Kendra, Kevin, Devin and David James, Wilbert Epps, Cinnamon Brown, Robin Jones, Virginia Richardson, Roberta Clay, Michelle, Matthew and Michael, Teresa, Tashia, Jeanette and Derek White, Taquisha, Tangela, Brian and Duane Foster, Renata, Gary and Donnell Myers; best friend, Romulus Patterson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
