Robert Partlow

Robert Partlow son of the late James and Viola Partlow, was born December 5, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on September 2, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Robert received his education at Cherry Hill High School in South Baltimore: thereafter, he continued to further his education, he became employed by NGK-Locker Polymer Insulation (formerly General Electric) for 30 years as Foreman where he contributed to the success of engineering and designing porcelain insulation, He was well respected by Senior Management and recognized for his superior work and commitment to the Company. Affectionately known as "Potsie", he has a "no nonsense" approach although he was a mentor to many who had the opportunity to work with him during his tenure. Robert's spiritual journey began December 9, 1980, where he attended and served at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where he not only sang on the Gospel Choir but also served on various committees. He'd often remind us of the strength in His name-"Jesus" and studied in "The Word" each morning before the start of his day. Robert made numerous friends where he went. He was very personable and socialized with everyone with his charming smile and giving heart. He was a dignified and proud man. He was known as a provider and a protector of many; a sacrificial man! He loved hard and strong- always reminding his family how much we were loved through his last days with us. He was very family oriented and loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He was car and boat enthusiast, passionate about his love for fishing, barbecuing and eating crabs! He took pride in his appearance and grooming with impeccably shined shoes because he always loved to look good. There was no limit to what he would do for his family! Robert leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Viesta Partlow of 49 years. Through this union he leaves their children; daughter Robin Harrison, son- Darrin Squire and grandchildren; Kristen Squire, Darrick Robert Blackwell, Darius Omar Squire Raven Squire, Nyla Squire, and Korry Harrion, and son-in-law William Harrison. He also leaves to mourn sons, Rober and Kirk Partlow, and daughter, Linda Partlow, brother, Ralvin Partlow, sisters, Nina Newkirk and Elizabeth Smith, brothers-in-law Richard Smith and Maurice Newkirk, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
