It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Deacon Robert Lee Becoat. A loving father, beloved brother devoted son, and cherished friend. Robert fondly called Ba-Ba among his close friends and family, was born on February 21, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert lee Becoat, Sr. and Novella Carr. A devoted man who loved Christ above all things and remained firm in his conviction and journey. Robert was not merely a member. But truly a part of God’s House of Worship/Ministries Family for over 11 years. Under the mentorship of Pastor. Dr. Anthony Calhoun. and his own Stepfather Soloman Horsey. Robert flourished in his ministries and grew his faith. A genuinely warm person. Who exuded kindness. Sincerity, loyally and perseverance. Robert quiet. Steady personality a beaming smile was welcoming to all who encounter him Robert had a deep Love for God and lived his life with a heart full and set on the Lord. He always reminded life people to “Stay on The Boat” a lesson from Acts 27:20-44. Paul’s reminder that heeding God advise saves you pain. But going through and staying the course saves your life, to “Stay on the Boat.” means not to give up and to remember God’s promise. Robert always set out to do just that. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his five children Robert always set out to do just that. He attended Baltimore City Schools and was dedicated hard worker at R House in Remington where he loved his job and spoke highly of management team. If the light were on at the R House. Robert was there. Robert had a zest for life and a passion for adventure. He enjoyed hobbies such as bike riding attending festival annually, telling jokes. CB Radio enthusiast. Playing Drums listening to music and traveling throughout Baltimore. On December 12, 2025. Unexpectedly passed away. He was preceded in death by Novella Carr Horsey (mother). Robert Lee Becoat, Sr. (father. And Reynard Becoat (brother). He is survived by all of his children Stepfather Rev Solomon Horsey, Siblings; Timothy Carr. Dorcas Lyons, Michael Carr. Elise Carr. Elaine Horsey and a host of other relatives. His R. House family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
