Robert Aaron Amos

ROBERT AARON AMOS, SR. (Bobby), son of Joan Amos and the late Edwin Amos was born on June 3, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland. Bobby received his education the Baltimore Public Schools, graduated from Baltimore City College and continued his education at Morgan State College (University). Bobby worked in various capacities throughout his career, Maryland Cup Company; Baltimore City Public Works; Johns Hopkins Hospital; Substitute Teacher for Baltimore City Public School; and Substitute Teacher with Emily Price Jones Head Start. In 1993, Bobby became an independent Ticket Broker and the man to go to for ticketed events. He was the real ticket master. Bobby was employed with Alpha Omega, Inc. and was recently promoted to a Supervisory position. Bobby was well known for his basketball skills. He was very fast on the basketball court and could shoot the lights out. When Bobby was a freshman in high school he wanted a pair of “Jack Purcell’s” tennis for the opening game. Bobby’s mother allowed him to do side jobs to earn the money to purchase the sneakers if he promised to score 30 points in the game. Bobby was able to buy the sneakers with the help of his mom and scored 30 points in the game. In 2011, Bobby was awarded for being the leading scorer in the history of the Community Sports Club League that was in existence from 1976 to 1981. Bobby often led his team to championship games locally and out of state. He later became a basketball coach and led his kids to numerous championship games as well. Bobby made friends everywhere he went. He was a very friendly and likeable person. He loved to laugh, make other laugh and have a good time. Bobby gave of himself to both adults and children. He was always willing to listen, give advice, help in any way he could and was just very supportive. He especially enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. And boy, did he love to dress and take pictures. And he was not afraid to wear pink or yellow. Bobby accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. On Friday, September 13, 2013, Bobby departed this side of life. He leaves to mourn his childhood sweetheart and wife of 25 years, Adrienne; sons, Robert A. Amos, II and Rodney Amos; grand-daughter, Skiyler Amos; grandson, Xzavier Epps, sisters, Deborah Goode, Janet Carter, Karen Amos, brothers, Kevin Amos, Darryl Amos. His brother Michael Amos preceded him in death; sister-in-law Stephen Marz, Williams (Louis) Brown, Donald Brown, and Robert (Rosetta) Wright, Jr.; step-sisters Rose (Aric) Brooks, Lori (Anthony) Robinson, and step-bother Craig (Tracey) Amos; god-children, James Hamlett, Damien Smith, Jr., Trinity Trayham, Madisyn Mosley, Charles (CJ) Mosley and Kayla Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
