Reginald Michael Davis

Reginald M. Davis Sr., son of Wardell Davis and the late Margaret Davis Williams was born on May 14, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on May 4, 2002. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduated from Edmondson High School and later attended the Community College of Baltimore and Coppin State University. His work career included the banking industry, substitute teaching, Direct Care Assistant at Walter P. Carter Center & Spring Grove Hospital Center. At the time of his death, he was employed at Life Incorporated in Baltimore County. “Reggie”, as he was fondly known, made numerous friends wherever he went and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing football, basketball, lacrosse and fencing. He also had excellent skills in tailoring and woodworking. He was essentially a “Jack of all Trades”. Reggie was a member of New Christian Memorial Church and especially enjoyed Friday noon service and bible study. Reggie loved children and was especially fond of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Cathy; father, Wardell Davis and stepmother, Mary Frances Davis; daughter, Nicole Williams, sons, Clark Woods, Reginald M. Davis, Jr., Tyrone Smoot, and Shelly (longtime friend); three brothers, Willie Welch of North Carolina, Keith and Wendall Davis of California; eight sisters, Jackie Perry, Paulette Zimmerman, Shawn Davis, Angela Williams, Keisha Davis, all of California; Julia Engram, Loretta Dean of Arizona; and Margaret Eaton of Baltimore, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Sharon Woods; goddaughter, Raquel S. Freeman; father and mother-in-law, George and Catherine Conway; grandchildren, Diarria Leach and Durnell Harp; brothers-in-law, Jerry Perry and Eugene Williams of California; Samuel Engram of Arizona; George and Derrick Conway, Larry Miles and Larry Bacon of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters-in-law, Trevenia Davis, Jean Hinton, Sandra Miles, Yvonne Cager, Patricia Bacon, Thelma, Annette and Sheila Conway, aunt, Inez Johnson, two very special nieces whom he loved dearly, Amber Conway and Jayah Bacon : devoted longtime friends, Walt McClean, Sam Flemming and Michael Royale; and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
