Reginald Curbeam

Mr. Reginald Curbeam, the son of Beatrice Curbeam and the late Joe A. Curbeam, was born on September 29, 1966, making him the fourth sibling of six. He was known among his older brothers and sisters for his big, bright eyes and big ole head. Unfortunately, four of his siblings had already succeeded in triumph before him. He truly adored one sister and three brothers, loving them without measure. On January 4, 2024, Reggie's soul peacefully transitioned to his eternal resting place due to a sudden health failure. Reggie studied the Islamic religion demonstrating morally solid values, adhering to divine direction and protection, and putting all his trust in God he was known as Shaheed to his Muslim brothers and community for many years. In 2005, Reggie faced a significant health challenge that hindered his progress. However, he was determined to overcome the obstacles and focused on rehabilitation. Throughout his journey of hardships, Reggie managed to redefine his life and faith. During this time, he embraced faith in Jesus Christ, accepting him as his Lord and Savior. Reggie was highly protective of his personal life and business, teaching those close to him the importance of respecting his voice, privacy, name, and who he had become, known as 14 kt. Gold by Big Sis, Reggie demanded personal space and did not like people touching him. As your sister, You taught me how to respect the man you have become by a new identity. As he was affectionately called Curbeam, Mr. Reginald or Reggie, he was cherished by his many brothers in faith, friends, and family. He was a well-known figure in the community, revered for his remarkable gifts, talents, and Unity of spirit. He also served as a mentor, counseling and empowering others with his wisdom, knowledge, and strategies for maintaining good health. With his vast knowledge, Reggie was always ready to enlighten and educate others, emphasizing the importance of self-education and avoiding ignorance. Despite facing incarceration, he pursued education and even earned a degree. He had all sorts of certificates and awards for his accomplishments he would send home. Reginald has left his memories to his mother, Beatrice Curbeam of Baltimore, Maryland. He had two brothers, Dwayne Curbeam and Joe Curbeam, Jr., residing in South Carolina. One sister, Angela Curbeam, Eva Mae Foster and Essie Hopkins are two special aunts in Summit, New Jersey. He had one fond friend named Cynthia Thomas. A timeless phone buddy named Patricia Foster Downy committed to having daily conversations with Reggie for several years. Furthermore, he ha a Godmother named Mary Foster. Reginald had six nephews: Larry Jackson, Rodney Divers, Borell Fitzgerald, Timothy Curbeam, Shawn Ransome, Timmy Ransome, and Daveon Ransome, and two great-nephews named Leelan Divers and Kody Curbeam. Additionally, he had six great-nieces named Trey'kia Jackson, Ciara Jackson, Hannah Wallace, Kailee Curbeam, Kassidy Curbeam, and Leila Bea Divers--lastly, a host of relatives and friends.
