Reginald L. Branch

The sounding of the celestial trumpets of our Heavenly Father called his son, REGINALD LAMONT BRANCH, home to peaceful rest after a sudden illness on Friday, September 2, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Maryland General Hospital. Reginald Lamont Branch, affectionately known as Reggie, Daddy, Uncle Reggie, and Granddaddy, to his family and close friends, was born to the late George S. Branch Sr. and Rosena N. Branch on August 14, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. Reggie received his education at Carver Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore, graduating in 1973, and continued his education at Dundalk Community College. Reggie was employed at Bethlehem Steel Corporation Sparrows Point, for 19 years as a Steel Worker. He retired thereafter on disability. Reggie gave his life to Christ at an early age and rededicated himself to God in 1991. Reggie was a family man who loved his children, grandchildren and family. Reggie was a devoted husband; father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was generous and kind to all who knew and loved him. If Reggie could help you, he would do it. Reggie loved life and a good party. He would get out on that dance floor and get down with the best. Reggie would go to the moon and back for his Ann and his girls. Reginald is survived by the love of his life, Gloria Annette Harding, for 38 years. Also, Reggie is survived by the “five horsemen,” (his daughters) Terra Branch-Thomas, Dawn Branch-Brown, DeLane Branch-Hines, Rosie A. Branch, and Lacey L. Branch and preceded in death by one daughter (Tracey T. Branch); eleven grandchildren, Ashley Hines, DeShawne Morant, D’Andre Mclaughlin, Jade Hines, India Mitchell, Gregory Hines Jr., Reginald Branch, Sarah Thomas, Ruby Sargent, Desmond Brown, and Dylan Brown; two sisters; Tamber R. Branch Wright and Michele Robinson; four brothers; George S. Branch Jr., Phillip C. Branch, Kevin L. Branch Sr., and Kenneth F. Branch, and our beloved Aunt Carolyn Eley; one son in-law, Gregory Hines Sr., two brothers-in-law, Michael Wright and John Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Branch and Eva Branch, ten nieces, Tecola, Kianna, Ashale, Rosena, Monnaei, Erica, Tia, Desirae, Chloe, Brittany; five nephews, Derrick, Mark, Kevin Jr., Kareem, Jared; and a host of other relatives and friends. God saw the road was getting rough and a cure was not to be; So he put his arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched and saw you pass away; Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. Daddy we love you. Your Loving Daughters
