Raymonette Ferguson-Saunders

Raymonette Aletha Ferguson-Saunders, the daughter of Aletha L. Tillman-Falls, and the late Raymond T. Ferguson, was born on March 20, 1982 in Baltimore, MD. She departed this life on September 9, 2017 in Suffolk, VA, following a brief illness. Raymonette, affectionately know as, "Ray" or "Netta" received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System. She was raised in a tightly bonded family in the Upper Westside of Baltimore in the Wabash area. She graduated from the Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School for Health Professionals, where she was a member of the Junior ROTC and appeared twice in the "Who's Who Among American High School Students" publication, which highlights students of exemplary work ethic, community service, and high humanitarianism standards. She had her first child, Ricardo, in 2002. After what seemed to be a lifetime in Baltimore, she relocated her family to Virginia in 2011, where she met her beloved husband, Thomas. The two were married on July 11, 2015. From this union, they birthed one child, Rainez. As a young woman, Raymonette shared a tight bond with her best friends, her cousins; Tameka, Juliana, Kelnita, Anushka, Alexandria and Vincent. Known also to her family as, "Smurfette", for her bubbly personality and child-like voice, Raymonette was a compassionate soul that helped anyone she loved to any extent-even if she didn't mean to held herself. She was an especially modest woman...immensely to herself and thoughtful. She was always at someone's rescue, someone's earpiece to talk about their own personal battles. In a multitude of ways, she could be your superwoman; well...until you mess with "Mommy". She had this unbreakable, indescribable fascination for her mother. If you cross her mother, you've got Raymonette twisted. Raymonette was always a forgiving person though and that shows through her forever optimistic, caring and creative spirit. She spent a good deal of her life's work tending to the needs of the less fortunate-financially and humanistically. By aiding disabled children, training them to eat, talk and walk correctly at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, to becoming the Vice-President of her mother's founded organization Renovation of the Mind which enables young girls to aim towards their successes and capitalize on imminent opportunities, Raymonette has done more for than the universe has asked for. Since her youth, Raymonette enjoyed cooking and spending time with her extensively diverse family. She had family from all walks of life and managed to morph all three of her families into one. She enjoyed going on family vacations and frequently stores to shop. She especially enjoyed engaging in great conversations with friends and family; she could talk for hours. In Raymonette's passing, she leaves to mourn her husband, Thomas; her mother Aletha Tillman-Falls; her stepfather, Ira Falls, Jr.; two sons, Ricardo BeSheppard, III and Rainez Saunders; stepdaughter, Tahtianna; sisters, Kimberly Tillman, Mashayla Falls, Enga Ferguson, Surrita Clarke; sisters-in-law, Shironda Slade, Tiffany Holland and Shaquonda Holland; brothers, Ridgely Shipley, Paul Falls, Savion Falls, Jamier Falls; brother-in-law, Tyree Holland, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond T. Ferguson and her grandmother, Floretta Tillman.
