Raymond D. Green

RAYMOND DOUGLAS GREEN was born to the late beloved, Roseanna Green. She gave birth to her first son, Raymond Douglas Green on December 18, 1947, in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. He was the oldest of five siblings (Marian Taylor, Vernon Green, Weldon Edwards, William Green and Henry Green, preceded him in death). Raymond led a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a deep commitment to his family and community. Raymond was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He transitioned peacefully from earth to heaven on February 18, 2025, at the age of seventy-eight. Early Life and Education Raymond grew up in East Baltimore, where he developed a love for education. He attended the Baltimore City Public School Educational System. His favorite subjects of study were reading and music (instrumental guitar playing, quartet groups, and spoon drumming)! Career and Accomplishments Family and Personal Life Raymond’s career as an electronic technician expanded over several dynamic companies. He dedicated more than 25 years of employment, with Bethlehem Steel, Corvis Corporation, and Polk Audio. Raymond excelled in the technology world working on electrical boards and high-performance stereo speakers. His expertise and dedication earned him the respect of his peers and the gratitude of the communities he served. One of the highlights of his work life was volunteering at the “The Green School,” where he took care of various tasks for the school personnel, with a smile! Faily and Personal Life Raymond lived a life loving God with all his heart, mind and soul! At an early age he confessed Christ as his personal Savior. Later in life, he became a member of The House of Prayer. Spiritually, he pursued his faith and strengthened his walk with God at the Southern Baptist Church for many years. He sang in the Male Chorus. The family’s favorite chapter in the Bible is the 91st Psalm. Raymond married the love of his life in September 25, 1999. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. He leaves to cherish his lovely wife, Louise Carolyn Green. He let the world know how he loved her, every time there was a family gathering. Together, they dedicated their life to raising a “wonderful” blended family of nine children: Danita (deceased), Raymond Jr., Regina, Kelvin, Michael, Angela, Emmanuel (deceased), Kenneth and Shawn. Raymond was a devoted father who always was available for his family, whether it was cleaning the home, charitable giving, caring for the garden, cooking, football, and enjoying television shows with the family. As a grandparent Raymond’s happiness knew no bounds. He adored all his grandchildren (1st-4th generation grandchildren). The grandchildren called him “Pop-Pop,” which he took immense pride in their accomplishments! Overall, he leaves a host of other relatives: aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends. A Life Well Lived Raymond’s life was a testament of love, joy, peace, grace, and mercy. Raymond prided himself in keeping the family communications in harmony and togetherness.
