Randy Livingston

Randy Emmanuel Livingston, son of Rena D. Atkins and the late Eugene Livingston, Sr., was born May 19, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on June 23, 2007 after a tragic automobile accident.Randy was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Carver Vocational High School. His teachers, principal and even the security personnel took a special interest in his progress.Randy was a good son, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor. Although God has rewarded him early in his life by taking him home to be with Him, he will be remembered by all who knew and loved him, especially his best friend Kenny.Randy, being the youngest son, was his mother’s ”baby” who, she says was strong-willed, determined, thoughtful and kind. He once wrote an essay nominating he “Queen for a Day” for which he received a beautiful certificate for his efforts, and his Mom displays it proudly today.Randy was a special person to many people, and some of them had their own special nickname for him. To his brother Danner, he was “Bro”, with a steadfast never surrender attitude. Once he decided on something, his mind-set was “never give up”.To his mentor and godfather Bryan, who Randy affectionately called “Pimp”, he was “Mud”. He would often say to Mud things like, “Do your best”. “Pay attention”. “Don’t let me have to get you a babysitter”. And “ Stop saying it’s not your fault”. Mud valued this advice because to him, “Pimp” was the example of what a responsible man should be. To his homeboys and girls he was simply known as “Black”, the serious yet funny, loyal friend and good listener who was “honest to the heart”.In the Robert W. Coleman community, he was well loved by the adults and will be remembered for his willingness to help out and his ever-present infectious smile. In addition, Randy was adored by the neighborhood children. He always took time to patiently talk with, listen to, advise and encourage them. It took was not uncommon to find him with his easy smile, encircled by a group of kids eagerly expressing their opinions and hoping Randy would agree with them.Randy leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Rena and devoted father figure, Elwood Morgan; two brothers, Danner and Eugene; four sisters, Terry, Crystal, Tuesday and Danielle; grandmother, Franchseal Colter; five aunts, Robesonia and Schunrear, who were very special to him, Elizabeth, Daisey and Vastine; three uncles, Frederick, Garnett and Elijah; two special nephews, Camren and Dequantez; two special nieces, Destiny and Sierra; three cousins, Marcquius Timmons, George Smith and Alexandrea Crawford-Reid; three godsisters, Unity, Tiffany and Shadae; and a host of other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention.
