Where should I start...? The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in time of hardship and challenges. I, Purnell (Curly) Francis Parker Jr. chose to stand on God's word and promises. I was born of the flesh on September 16, 1970, to Mildred and Purnell F. When I was two years old, my mother met George Montgomery and at that time he became my father. George nurtured and groomed me into the man that I became I didn't always do it right, however the love and respect that l have for George always brought me back to doing the right thing. He is my Pops. That which is born of the flesh shall die. That which is born of the spirit will live forever. I professed a hope in Christ while yet a child and was born of the spirit many years ago. I was christened at St. Peter's Cleburne, later attended Mt. Olive Freewill Church as a child. As an adult, I joined First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Clarence Jones where I worshipped. WELL, I didn't just become educated overnight. I attended the Overlea High School and Central Vocational Technical College where I studied to become a Certified Accountant, which developed my unique character and personality. I was so excited to be the father of 3 wonderful children with Danielle Jones, they are Christian and Aliyah and Baby Destiny Parker, who preceded me in death. For many years I worked at Home Depot as a Customer Service Representative and Howard County as a ground technician.I loved my family, dedicated to my children and would speak at different organizations to encourage those who struggling with life choices, but most of all I loved the Lord. RECENTLY you heard through friends that I, Purnell (Curly) Francis Parker Jr., died. Don't believe a word of it. At this time, I have gone up higher, that is all; out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body. ON Monday, July 14, 2025, I heard my Savior say Servant, Well Done and I entered my Master's Joy! Rejoicing with me in my father's house is my Biological Father, Purnell F. Parker Sr; Sister, Sherry Montgomery: Brother, Enc Montgomery; daughter, Baby Destiny Parker; along other family and friends. REUNITING with me one day will be my gifts from God, my beloved family and friends, my loving and devoted mother and father: Mildred B. Montgomery and George M. Montgomery; son, Christian Parker, daughter, Aliyah Parker; sisters, Towanda Burrow, Denise Roy-Montgomery and Ericka Montgomery; brother, Michael Montgomery (Callina); Partner, Chevelle Smith; Aunt, Edith Overstreet; Uncles, Gregory Townes (Mariann) and Brian Parker; and a host of other family and friends. Oh, I can't forget my many nieces and nephews to whom I adore. A host of the many cousins, other relatives, and wonderful friends. THROUGH all of my trials and tribulations, ups and downs of life, I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. To all my family and friends, DON'T GIVE UP! IT DOESN'T END HERE....LIVE YOUR LIFE TO ITS FULLEST!
