Phyllis W. Sellman

Phyllis Wilhelmina Sellman daughter of the late Harrison Brown Sr. and Thelma Stewart-Brown, was born February 16, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland. On July 22, 2015 Phyllis suddenly departed this life. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools, where she received her high school diploma. Phyllis married the late Lawrence Sellman. She was a proud and devoted mother of eight beautiful children. She was a stay at home mom for many years until her children settled into grade school. Later she worked as a domestic engineer for many years until she became employed as a Para educator for the Baltimore City Public School system for 25 years until she retired in June 1990. She had several talents and interest, she was a gifted pianist, enjoyed cooking, listening to all types of music, entertaining and laughing with family and friends, and loved animals, just to name a few. In her later years she began attending church, creating art, playing bingo, and attending bible study with friends at her last residence, the Green House At Stadium Place. Phyllis was well loved by everyone who knew her because he was a humanitarian who loved to help others, she had a loving and funny personality and a heart of gold. She especially looked forward to visits and phone calls from her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, pets and all of her friends. She leave to cherish her memories; a brother, Harrison Brown who preceded her in death; eight children, three sons, Rudolph, Ronald and Kevin; five daughters Olita and Sandra and three that proceeded her in death Faye, Glenda and Janet; two daughter-in-laws, Roselyn and Michelle. Thirteen grandchildren; seven grandsons, Vincent, Mark, and Larry who preceded her in death; Shawn, Dana, Paris, Kevin Jr. Six granddaughters, Lakiia, Tiera, Pier, Shantae, Tiffany and Shannon. Three granddaughters in-laws, Racquel, Tracey and Tanya; one grandson-in-law Gary. Nineteen great grandchildren; Rashad, Vincent IV, Larry III, Eshon, Brizil, Afrikiia, Quinn, Taryn, Keenan, Dashawn, Deonte, Tyrik, Maya, Danielle, Shawn Jr., Jordan, Taylor, Saniya and Gary who preceded her in death. One great great grandson, Khiyan. Two god daughters, Wanda and Jacqueline. Two adopted children, Ernest and Shirley Taylor. And a host of relatives and friends.
