Phyllis D. Marks

PHYLLIS DIANE MARKS departed her earthly home to return to her heavenly Father, suddenly on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at her Baltimore, Maryland residence. Santee Marks (deceased) and Margaret Marks were the parents of “Diane”. “Diane” was born April 14, 1947 in Baltimore, MD. “Diane” was one of six children, Bernadine, Edward (deceased), Earl, Ellene, and Elvis. “Diane” received her education in the public school system ultimately attending Edmondson His majoring in Business Administration. Diane also attended Baltimore Community College, majoring in History. After college, Diane started a successful career in Banking. Beginning her career with union trust; which later changed to Signet, she started her first retirement. Diane was busy raising her son, Andre when she decided to return to work. Diane became the overnight shift supervisor for The federal Reserve Bank. While working there, Diane traveled the United States representing The Federal Reserve Bank for the State of Maryland. There were many things Diane loved to do... play the lottery, go on shopping trips, travel the world, plan parties, organize the family reunion, raise her son, spend time with her grandchildren and being the caregiver for her father before his death. She was also the caregiver for her mother. Diane's favorite colors were red and white. In her life, these colors were represented in high school and college. She was very active with her Edmondson High School Alumni, therefore; always attending the alumni events. Diane shined like a diamond in her family, managing the spirit of the family and friends being strong as a rock. She was the go to person for everything and everybody, friends and family. Diane unselfishly gave of herself to everyone, but especially to her mother, son, and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved mother, Margaret Marks; siblings, Bernadine Matthews, Earl Marks, Ellene Marks, Elvis Marks; beloved son, Andre' K. Marks and wife, Ericka Marks; all her grandchildren, Alexis, Cache, Andre' II, Kendall, Darius and Desmond; along with two uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
