PEARL DOLORES MUSE of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away at home on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at approximately 3:26 PM. She was born on May 26, 1947 in Baltimore County to loving parents William Edward and Pearl Lena Muse. She was educated in the Baltimore County Public School System. Pearl spent most of her professional career as a Computer Operator at Fidelity & Deposit Insurance Company, where she first retired. She later went back to work at Medical Mutual in Hunt Valley, MD, where she retired for good. Pearl was the most family-oriented person we’ve known. She went above and beyond in many ways for her family, friends, and loved ones, and would literally give you the shirt off her back. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing numbers, going to the casino, and drinking Pepsi. Many week nights, you could find her watching game shows such as Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She always thought she was the best player and prided herself on getting the answers correct. Pearl was the matriarch of her family and she was appointed that position early on in her life. She never wavered from the responsibility of leading her family and literally sacrificed herself. She was affectionately known as Sister, Aunt Pearl, Granny, and Ma. She has been battling lung cancer for the past 10 years and was finally called home, and even on her sick bed, her concern was still towards her family. Before her passing, she wrote “I’m very family oriented. I LOVE MY FAMILY and have and always will do anything I can for anyone of them.” Pearl was also affectionately referred to as the matriarch of the 1700 block of Darley Ave., where she lived for almost 50 years and would later become what she termed herself, the Captain of the Block. She loved sitting on the porch on a nice day, where residents would regularly sit with her and talk to keep her updated with all the neighborhood news. She loved the Lord and was a praying woman. She was an avid fan of gospel music. Some of her favorite gospel acts were James Cleveland and The Williams Brothers. Pearl was a very loving woman who doted on her granddaughter lmani. She, along with her significant other of 50 years, Charles, had one child Cornell, who she commonly referred to as her one only. She was preceded in death by her father William, her mother Pearl, her love Charles, her brother Curtis, and her nephew Anthony. Family left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are: her son Cornell, her daughter-in-law Kim, her granddaughter Imani, her step-granddaughter Kiara, her brother Amos, her niece Zina, her nephew Darren, and her longtime best friend Evelyn, in addition to other family ,friends and loved one who treasured her life. other of 50 years, Charles, had one child Cornell, who she commonly referred to as her one and only. She was preceded in death by her father William, her mother Pearl, her love Charles, her brother Curtis, and her nephew Anthony.
