Paulette Cotman Taylor

Paulette Cotman Taylor, 69 of Chesterfield, formerly of Charles City, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2025. She was born on May 23, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward (Bro) and L. Frances Cotman, sister Pamela Cotman and grandson Tyrone Williams Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory of a loving and devoted husband Tyrone, a loving son Jamar and his devoted wife Sparkle. One stepson Tyrone Williams Sr. Two granddaughters Ja’Mya & Tynique, One devoted sister Carrie Anne Williams, one brother Anthony Cotman Sr. (Darlene). Three aunts S. Christine Bradby, Gladys Hawkins (Marvin), & Edith Craddock. One uncle James Cotman (Brenda). Four brothers in laws, John Jackson (Peggy), Edwin Taylor (Brenda), David Taylor (Rhonda) and Wilbert Taylor. One sister-in-law Christine Huff. Three nieces Tera Pinkney, Tiffany Charity (Chartae) & Neena Cotman. One nephew Anthony Cotman Jr (Volonda). Four great nieces, LaBria, Eboni, DymiNe’ and Cassidy. Two great nephews Chartae Jr. and Anthony III. Three great-great nieces, Dy’Mari, Er’Yis and Gionni. Devoted friends Annie & James Battle, devoted cousins Patricia & Lonnie Janes, Verne & Wesley Dickerson Jr., and Pearl & MacArthur Greene. Paulette joined church at an early age. She was a faithful member and served as an usher until her health declined. She worked at Phillip Morris for over 30 years working as a machine operator and retired in 2006. Paulette enjoyed being around family and friends. She loved spending time with her granddaughter My-My which she always use to call her ‘’Nan-Nan Pretty Girl’’. In her spare time, she loved traveling with her girls on weekly vacations, she loved crocheting and spending time with her sister Anne and playing cards in the garage with the girls from time to time and just having a good time wherever she was. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love and kindness — and her memory will live on in all those who were privileged to know and love her. A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Little Elam Baptist Church 8840 Church Lane Charles City VA, 23030 Interment will be held at Little Elam Baptist Church Cemetery
