Patricia D. Jones-Henderson

PATRICIA DARLENE JONES was born November 21, 1953 in Hamlet, North Carolina to Roosevelt and Hattie Jones. She was the eldest daughter of three children. Her parents moved to Baltimore, MD in 1955. Pat was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Edmondson High School in 1971. She graduated from Bowie State College (University) in 1976 with Bachelor's Degree in a Business Administration. Patricia had an impressive business career starting in banking at Provident Savings Bank in 1977 where she eventually became a branch manager. Pat had a desire to help others which thrust her into real estate as a mortgage officer, working at Mercantile, Countrywide, Wells Fargo, First Preference Mortgage and finally with Primary Residential Mortgage. Patricia was a certified counselor at Park Heights Renaissance which allowed her to become the catalyst to help many low income families become home owners. Pat was the President of the Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore for four years (2007 - 2011), a member of the Maryland Bankers Assoc., the American Business Women's Association, Inner Harbor Chapter, and The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors. Patricia received her spiritual nurturing at New Pilgrim Baptist Church and was baptized there at the age of eleven. She became an active member of the youth choir and usher board. As an adult she served as a member of the Scholarship Ministry, Assistant Chairwoman of the Trustee Ministry, Vacation Bible School Director and teacher, Women Fellowship Ministry, youth counselor and above all the Missionary Ministry. In 1986 she met the love of her life, Monte Henderson. They were married on July 26, 1988 at The New Pilgrim Baptist Church. God graced their home with two daughters, Victoria Aur and Latonya Henderson. Pat and Monte loved children and helped care for and provide education for many. Pat loved her family and friends and hosted gatherings at her home. Pat loved to travel. She had a passion for shopping not just for herself but for others. Patricia's memory will forever be cherished by her devoted husband Monte Henderson, her loving mother Hattie Jones, two daughters Victoria and Latonya, granddaughter Braelyn Henderson, a loving sister Brenda Jones Lewis (Melvin), a brother Bryant R. Jones, aunts Mabel Green(Leroy), Wyetter Segar, Gracie Young (Charles), Norma David, Carolyn David, Rosa David, Catherine Williams, Elizabeth Shelton (James), Ruthine Johnson (Ross), uncles Thomas David (Priscilla), Ronnie David, Mack Jones (Otelia), Pearlie Jones, Randolph Jones (Toni), special nephew Tyrone B. Jones, niece Leslie Lewis and a host of other relatives and friends.
