Odessa Francis Holden

Odessa Frances Holden was born in Alculon, South Carolina on July 7, 1933 the only child to the late John and Elizabeth Washington. She laid her burdens to rest on Saturday night December 15, 2001.She met and was united in holy matrimony to the late Charles Al Holden on November 29, 1949. From this union there were sixteen children. Momma also raised from birth, Terrell W. Stuckey; one of her great-grand children.She received her early education in the public schools of South Carolina and later completed it in Baltimore City Public School System.Cooking and caring for her family was a labor of love for Momma. Her willingness to help others was a gift from God. Not only were her children blessed through her gift but every child and young adult who crossed her path was blessed as well. All responded to her love by calling her Momma. She was always there when you needed her.Momma had a very special love for her children. She will be welcomed into Heaven by her children Joycelyn Diggs, Douglas Holden, Daniel Stuckey, Mary Jones; and grandchildren Darryl Diggs, Marquida Holden, Jerry D. Holden and Jacqueline Stuckey, Charla and James Horne, Bryan Holden, Wanda Holden and Joseph Francis, Sandra Holden, Charles and Yvonne Holden, Antoinette Holden and Charles Cevis, Michael and Stacey Holden, Anthony Holden, Jerry Holden and Jackie Lawson, Bertha and Curtis Farrier, Betty Holden and Rodney Shiver, April Holden and Charles Avery, Christopher Holden and Toni Newton, Donna Braxton, Annette Gillis and her grandchildren:Angel Bunky Dinky Chucky Steve Sherrienne Stephanie Andre Ashley Alex AndrewEric Erica Eusandra Darnell Antwan Anthony Gene Erica Charles King Tavon MichaelJoe Joe Michael Troy Sherrie Kellee Jacqueline Tracey Stacey Temeka Terrell Kalyn Keona Natalie Gregory Anthony Terry Candice Craig Ashley Christian Tawn Asia Shatera Zelda Stevie Joe AnthonyA total of 75 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grand children. Momma also leaves, Margaret and Garland Newton, Clementine and Willie Bullack, Mable and James Horne, Helen and Robert Francis who were very special in her heart. A host of friends and relatives.
