Norman A. Wesson

Norman A. Wesson Jr., affectionately known as "June," was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Barbara A. Wesson and Norman A. Wesson Sr. on June 19, 1963. He received his heavenly reward on January 20, 2009.He was a beloved father, loving son, loyal brother, considerate uncle, respectful nephew, kind cousin, and giving friend. For a brief time, Norman lived with his family in Cleveland, Ohio, but later returned to Baltimore, Maryland. In 1982, Norman graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School. He was very athletic; he played on his high school football team. Norman continued his education pursuing a degree in business the citizens of the United States. In 1982, he enlisted in the United States Army, and after being honorably discharged, served in the Maryland National Guard. In 1987, Norman continued his commitment of serving and protecting citizens by joining the Baltimore County Police Department. His career path on the police force was extremely successful. He retired from the Police force at the age of forty-one. After retirement, he worked part-time as an undercover security officer at Ratcliff Jewelers and Kenwood Bingo Hall. In 1991, Norman married Stephanie Glascoe. From this union, no children were born. Norman gave his life to Christ at Zion Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Marshall F. Prentice.On October 18, 2007, God bestowed a mighty blessing upon Norman. Madison Victoria Wesson, whom he called "Maddie," blazed into his life like a ray of sun light. He loved being a father and cherished every moment that he spent with her. He enjoyed recording milestones in his daughter's life such as the first time she rolled over, sat up, took her first steps, and babbled her first words.He was a very giving person. This was evident in the way that he lived his life. If Norman had any faults, it was that he was too good for his own good. This was a known fact by all who knew him. This is one of the many examples he set for the younger members of his family. Norman brought joy to the lives of the people he touched. He was loyal, faithful, dependable, kind, and considerate. Norman would stand by his love ones in the midst of adversity and strife. He was the constant force in the lives of so many of his family members and friends. He was always there to give a helping hand. He motivated people to do their best and strive to reach their endeavors. He will certainly be missed and not soon forgotten.Norman leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Barbara A. Roberson; father, Norman A. Wesson Sr.; daughter, Madison Victoria Wesson; 2 brothers; Cottrell M. Wesson-Bey and Billy Wesson Sr.; 3 sisters, Roxie Wesson of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; Isla I. Bell, and Pamela L. Wesson; sister in law, Acqualine Pridget; brother in law, Ronald Mclean; 3 nephews and 3 great nephews, Terrell, Damon Sr., Mekhi, Billy Jr., Damon Jr., and Braylin; 3 nieces and 1 great niece, Brittany, Kendra, Breshay, and Janell; aunts; uncles; best buddies Carl, Mike and Sam; friend Shanda Evans; and a host of family and friends.
