Nicole Felice Fleming

Nicole “Nikki” Fleming went to be with the Lord and was embraced by heavenly angels on August 10, 2015. She graduated from Saint Gertrude High School in 1991. Nicole attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Virginia Union University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. She was employed by Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for 10 years; as well as Wells Fargo Banking Company. Nicole was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and sang in the Combined Choir and other ensembles to include Donnell Williams, Caught Up and the Faith Ensemble. She was a cast member of “Message in Our Song” production. Nicole was a member of Las Amigas, Incorporated for more than 15 years. She enjoyed decorating, designing and renovating homes. Nicole was very talented and reached out to people in a special way by offering her talents and her love. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Alvin Robinson and Harry H. Winston,grandmothers,Marie C. Fleming and Lucille Robinson, great aunt, Lucille Walker,uncles,James Straus, Charles Straus and Bryant Robinson. Nicole will be deeply missed by her dedicated parents, Barry and Maxine Fleming; and daughter, Natayla Burchett. She is also survived by one step-grandmother,Odabelle Jinkens,nine aunts,Gloria Russell(John),Helen Henderson(Melvin),Anita Green (Ronald),Belinda Robinson, Barbara Saxon(Herbert),Delores Fleming, Gloria Johnson(Purcell),Lucille Roseberry, Karen Winston; five uncles, Leon Straus(Shirley),Earl Straus, Richard Robinson(Becky),Anthony Robinson, Marcus Winston (Yvette);three great aunts, Gladys Bryant(Robert),Katie Anthony, and Geraldine Banks(Junius);one great uncle, Harold Fleming(Loraine);three cousins, Marie Russell, Charles Fleming,Jr.,Kimberly Roseboro;godparents,Sophie and Alvin Moses; two god-sisters, Sheryl Moses and Sharon Gordon; three godchildren, Jaylen Lilly, Trinity Rose-Smith,Deven Holman; three sisters, Martina Jones-Smith,Vernita Majette-Hill and Erika Wilkins; one brother, Lamar Smith; two devoted Las Amigas Sisters, Evelyn Patterson and Minister Angela Moore and a host of family and friends. Nicole cherished the “Mommy-Daughter Days”. Her strength, spirit and determination will always be cherished by her family.
