Nickalas D. Morrisey

NICKALAS DWAYNE MORRISEY was born on June 11, 1990 to the proud parents of Dwight Morrisey (deceased) and Hope Lee-Morrisey in Baltimore, Maryland. Nickalas received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. After his graduation, Nickalas worked in the food service industry and was seeking additional education prior to his untimely passing. As a child he was always busy and curious and his mom could always be heard saying “Nick Stop.” Remembering him as a young child and his difficulties with sleep overs brings smiles to his aunt's faces. It began with a look on his face at bed time, and then came the words, “I want my mommy.” He could only be calmed by talking to his mom. We look back and recall that no matter how many times he would spend the night it was the same routine. He loved his mom. During his grade school years he enjoyed baseball and other sports. In his early adulthood, Nickalas enjoyed spending time with his mom, Hope; his two brothers, Jeremy and Dwight Jr.; his nephew, Nathaniel; his two nieces, Damaris and Razira and his girlfriend, LaTonia. He loved children and was always willing to watch his nieces and nephew who lovingly called him “Uncle Nick.” He enjoyed playing cards with his girlfriend as they talked and laughed throughout the evening. Nickalas had a joke for everything and kept you laughing. He enjoyed football and his favorite team was the Ravens. He also spent his spare time playing video games with his friends and listening to music. He enjoyed writing both rap and traditional poetry about how he felt. Nickalas was intelligent, thoughtful, kind, and loving with a giving heart. His smile warmed he hearts of all those that came in contact with him. He left this life much too soon and we will miss his deeply. Nickalas was preceded in death by: his father, Dwight Morrisey; his grandparents, Sylvester and Eugenia Morrisey; and his great-grandmother, Rebecca Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Hope Lee-Morrisey; his stepfather, Boh Jackson; his grandmother, Gloria B. Lee; his grandfather and step-grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Ruthie Lee; two brothers, Jeremy Lee and Dwight Morrisey Jr.; six aunts, Monique Morrisey, Michelle Morrisey, Yvette Lee, Diane Lee-McGowan, Joy Johnson and Kim Smith; five uncles, Steve Lee, Robert Morrisey, Anthony McGowan, Craig Johnson and Rodney L. Smith; one nephew, Nathaniel Turner; two nieces, Damaris Morrisey and Razira Morrisey; a host of great-aunts, cousins and his devoted girlfriend of many years, LaTonia Comegys.
