GOD KNEW THAT YOU WERE SUFFERING AND HE KNEW THAT THE HILLS WERE HARD TO CLIMB SO HE CLOSED YOUR WEARY EYELIDS AND WHISPERED PEACE BE THINE Nathan Ronald Jackson, 58, was born November 11, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia to Nathaniel Ham and the late Laverne Edith Forbes. He departed this life suddenly on Monday, May 27, 2019. He attended the Richmond Public Schools until his family relocated to Bridgeport, Connecticut where he completed his education.Nathan was an avid sports person and while attending Central High School Nathan played on the football team as a wide receiver. In 1980, Nathan enlisted in the U.S. Army where he received an honorable discharge. He had a great work ethic in which he worked for the City Bridgeport as a Zookeeper for over 10 years after which he transferred to PSG Water Solutions, a subsidiary of the City of Bridgeport's Sanitation Department. He later developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit and ventured out on his own to start his business entitled "Nat's Moving & Storage LLC" Nathan was a hard working person and a go-getter. He enjoyed working on cars and was known as a house mechanic and good handyman. He also loved to cook and did so until his health started to decline. Nathan was an extremely outspoken person he could make you laugh and even cry at times. Every person he knew we're sure could tell a story about Nate's outspokenness. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Tanya Jackson; sons, Brandon, Nathan, Jr. and Ronald Jackson; one granddaughter, Kylee Jackson; father, Nathaniel Ham, Jr., stepmother, Mary Ham; two sisters, Sheryl Jackson and Colette Yancey (Kevin); four sisters-in-law, Zina Cosby, Jameaseyeh Cosby and Leonda Hopson; brother-in-law, Antario Hopson (Theresa); five aunts, Gladys Lewis, Shirley Clayton, Johnny Tucker, Jeanette McLauren and Linda Christian; two uncles, Jesse P. Hopson, Jr. and Butch Hall; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends among them, Keith, Stacy Jones and Carolyn Seaborne-Muhammad. OUR HEARTS ARE ACHING AND WE ARE ALL SAD, HOWEVER YOU WILL BE MISSED AND WE ALSO KNOW THAT WE CAN THANK GOD THAT YOU'RE FINALLY AT PEACE.
