Nancy Elizabeth Pegram

Nancy Elizabeth Pegram of Mechanicsville,Virginia departed this life on Saturday,November 6,2011. She was born Nancy Elizabeth Pulliam to Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Sue Pulliam on March 12,1963 in Stony Creek,Virginia. Nancy grew up in her hometown of Stony Creek,Virginia where she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Jarratt,Virginia. She attended Sussex County Public Schools and graduated from Sussex Central High School. After high school,Nancy moved to Richmond,Virginia in pursuit of a career in business where she attended Smithdale Massey Business College and earned a business certificate. Unbeknownst to Nancy,Richmond had much more to offer her than just her education. It was the place where she met the love of her life Ronnie Pegram. Ronnie and Nancy married and remained faithfully wedded for twenty-six blissful years. Of this union was born their beloved only child,Veronica Pegram who Nancy loved and adored. Veronica was her heart. After recognizing that her calling was helping those in need,she decided to attend the Richmond Technical Center where she earned a Certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later she earned as Associate Degree in Nursing as a Registered Nurse from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Nancy was employed for a number of years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Registered Nurse at healthcare facilities throughout the Richmond area to include Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital . She and her husband were also founders and owners of Pegram's Rest Home for several years. Her most current employment was with Tyson Foods where she was employed as an Occupational Health Nurse Manager. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Mr. Henry Pulliam. She leaves to celebrate her life her loving and devoted husband,Ronnie Pegram;a loving and devoted daughter,Veronica Pegram;her loving mother Sue Pulliam;three brothers,James (Mary),Carl and Lee Pulliam;mother-in-law,Katherine Pegram and father-in-law,Lucius Pegram;sisters-in-law,Kathy Watson,Theresa Hunt,Kemery Jones(Jerome)Patricia Pegram;one brother-in-law,Dr. Melvin L. Pegram;aunts,Sally Griffin,Lucille King,Katherine Parham;one uncle,Miles Brown;nephews & nieces;Jamia Taylor,Roscue Hunt,Jr.Theresita Hunt,Joshua Hunt,Sr.Jerrahd Pulliam,Jeromyah Jones,great nephews & nieces;Kayanna Battle,Joshua Hunt,Jr. Malik Taylor,Kevin Battle,Jr.Taniyah Battle,Jakira Hunt and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends to include her devoted friend Gloria Shaw and her daughter Brittany Shaw,Paula Mines and Virginia Grisham.
