Myrvin A. Abramson

Myrvin Abramson was born January 28, 1957 to the late Elimo and Irene Abramson in St Thomas USVI. Myrvin was the youngest of five. Myrvin went to Charlotte Amalie High School and later received his high school diploma from Job Core to get a certificate as an electrician. After graduation, Myrvin planned the next journey in his life. He decided that the opportunities he wanted for himself was better served by attending college. He decided to travel to California where he began attending college and later achieved his Associate’s Degree in Auto Mechanic. Myrvin moved to Maryland in 1983 where he pursued his career working as an Auto Mechanic. On February 14, 1985 Myrvin married his long-time love Sharon Aska. Myrvin worked many different jobs in order to provide for his growing family. During one of those times he worked as a long-haul tractor trailer driver. Myrvin started working at Shacomba Auto Body Shop in 1988. He later worked at Watkins Auto Body Shop. Through his passion and love for working on cars Myrvin met many people over the years. Some of these return customers, friends and associates began calling him “Gee” or “Jetta”. He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He dedicated his life to helping others. He always went out of his way to provide a helping hand. In his business, he was very charitable to his clients, friends, family and strangers in the community. His heart was pure gold. Myrvin was a man of integrity his works spoke for him. Myrvin always made sure his family was well taken care of no matter what challenges he faced. He loved to laugh and have fun. He made sure that he was present for his family, and supportive of his children. He loved to laugh and have fun and made sure everyone around him were happy. He was a man that lived a life that was filled with kindness for all who he encountered. Myrvin was preceded in death by his parents Elimo and Irene Abramson: brother Alvin his daughter Ijasha and sister in- law Jeanette. Myrvin is survived by his wife Sharon, his brothers Austin, Melvin, and Wilbur, four sons Kwasi, Salam, Musa, Jahkeem, two daughters Idesha and Inesha, one mother in–law Othella, 2 brother in-laws Collin and Sinclair, three sister in- law Genevieve, Janice, and Joanne one son in -law Terrell, one daughter in-law Chioma,12 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
