Monte Chambers

Monte Parnell Chambers Sr., son of the late Laurence Chambers and Ethel Miller Chambers. He was born on February 4, 1939, Monte departed this life suddenly on February 2, 2026. Monte received his education at Booker T Washington Middle School and Douglass High School in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating from Douglass, he served in the US Army. He was then employed by Industrial Fabricators and Bethlehem Steel Inc until retirement. Monte accepted the Lord in his life at an early age and became a loyal member at Union Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He married the love of his life Ruth A. Jones on August 12,1967, and out of this union two children were born, Shray and Monte Jr. Monte was a devoted husband and father who loved his family wholeheartedly. He was a Family Man. He loved traveling cross-country with his family, and fishing at any time, but it was most enjoyable with family. Monte always had fun with his loved ones and especially looked forward to family gatherings during the holidays. He had the best stories, caught the biggest fish, had the fastest car, and he has the prettiest Lady: Ruth Chambers. He had many hobbies including: riding a minibike and bicycling until his knees couldn’t take the paddling anymore. Carpentry. He was a carpenter at heart and didn’t mind sharing his knowledge for Do-It-Yourself home improvement projects. He also enjoyed watching Westerns when he was relaxing. Monte was loveable, kind, very helpful and he had no problem suffocating you with his tight hugs. He had an enormous smile that would take over his entire face, and his eyes would squinch close. He will be missed but he will never be forgotten. Monte leaves to mourn: his wife, Ruth Chambers, one daughter Shray Chambers Wilson, son in law Geoffrey Wilson I, one son Monte Chambers Jr., one brother Garvene , two sisters Joyce and Marriam (both preceded in his death), three brothers in law Herbert Jones, David Jones, Charles Jones(all three preceded in his death) one sister in law Rosa Lee Privette, one brother in law Lumus Privette Jr., four granddaughters, Devora Wilson, Alexandria Denson, Samantha Chambers, Maddison Chambers, one grandson Geoffrey Wilson II (preceded in his death), one great grandson Isaiah Chambers , host of loving Nieces, Nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
