Mildredann A Ford

MILDREDANN ALICE FORD (affectionately known as Millie) was born to the late Lester Ford, Sr. and Blanche Mildred Watkins Ford in Baltimore, Maryland on April 13, 1956. She was the baby of the family and the only daughter with four brothers preceding her. Mildredann was called home on January 2, 2025, after succumbing to a lengthy illness. Mildredann was raised in the Remington area of Baltimore City and attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She was a graduate of the all-girl school Eastern High School. From there, she attended the Community College of Baltimore. She also attended and graduated from Jules Beauty School. Her career journey included working at George’s Liquors and Edward’s Pharmacy as a lottery clerk for many years, Baltimore City Government as a laborer in the grounds division, MTA as a money counter and a driving instructor for Easy Method Driving School. Mildredann had two daughters, Bernice and Krystal, whom she cherished. Her girls were her world. She made many sacrifices for them and their lives are a direct reflection of the values & morals she instilled in them. That very same love and values overflowed to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spoiling them and they enjoyed being spoiled by their Mama. Mildredann’s personality with those she encountered was nothing short of genuine. She loved laughing and having a fun time with family and friends. She had a tough exterior, but also a heart of gold. Mildredann had a passion for taking care of others, especially the elderly. She would help many of the neighborhood elderly by running errands or cooking for them. She was a blessing to many and would feed anyone who was hungry. Mildredann loved cooking and had a special gift for it. People constantly praised her culinary treats, but she was especially known for her collard greens, also known as “Millie’s greens”. Although she did not eat them, she made them with love every time and people could not get enough of them. Mildredann’s hobbies included feeding the neighborhood cats and pigeons and they always hung around because they knew they would eat very well. She loved playing the lottery and knew the right numbers to pick as she would often win. She was also a diehard Orioles and Ravens fan. You could find her cheering on her beloved teams during their respective seasons. She would be sure to call to remind her grandsons whenever the Ravens were playing. Before departing this life, Mildredann accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She always held the Lord close to her heart and her walk with Him could not be questioned. Mildredann was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Ford, Sr. and Blanche Mildred Watkins Ford, brothers, Earl Watkins, Murrell Watkins and Lester Ford, Jr. Mildredann leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Bernice Ford and Krystal Jenkins; four grandchildren, Dominic Frazier, Raequan Frazier, Christian Frazier and Stephanie Jackson; seven great-grandchildren, Lanaeya Frazier, Faith Frazier, Mason Frazier, Kaiden Eure, Da’nair Frazier, Makari Frazier and Londyn Frazier; brother, Phillip Ford; sister-in-law, Suzy Ford; two nephews, Sean Ford and Christopher Ford; niece, Allison Ford-Perry; best friends, Evelyn Cole and Bobbie Alston, along with a host of family and friend
