Michele Monique Johnson

The beautiful and gentle spirit known as Michele Monique Johnson was escorted into God’s heavenly home June 4, 2015. She was born in Newport News, Virginia to Thaddeus and Glenice Johnson on September 23, 1969. She has always been called her mom’s special birthday present because they share the same birth date. Her uncle Charles Johnson and grandparents predeceased Michele. Michele was educated in the public schools of Hampton, VA. She attended Thomas Nelson Community College. She later furthered her education and graduated from Strayer University where she received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management. At an early age, Michele was baptized and received her spiritual guidance from Zion Baptist Church of Hampton, Virginia. She was a member of the youth choir, ushers ministry, Church School and the Tutorial ministry. After leaving Hampton, Michele joined Trinity Baptist Church. She later chose her place of worship and transferred her membership to St. Peter Baptist Church. In all things and in all ways, she believed all the glory belongs to God. Michele was employed By JenCare Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia as an Executive Administrative Assistant where she was highly respected by her coworkers. Michele, a person of character that was a selfless sweetie, caring, considerate and giving true friend. She cared deeply for her family and close friends. One of her special joys was spending time with her two nieces, Layla and Kyndall. She was quite fond of them and had her own special name for them; they were the extension of her heartbeat. She was instilling in them strength, compassion, prayer, a love for all people and most of all, a love for God. Michele’s life is a testimony to her personal fortitude and the hand of God upon her life. She leaves to cherish her memory loving parents, Thaddeus and Glenice Johnson of Hampton, VA; brother, Kevin W. Johnson (Andrea) of Virginia Beach, VA; two nieces, Layla and Kyndall Johnson of Virginia Beach; uncles and aunts who loved her dearly. They are: Haywood and Carolyn Johnson of Manassas, Virginia; Marilyn Williams of Hampton, Andrew and Sidriana Johnson of Orange, Virginia, James Johnson of Orange, Daniel and Deborah Johnson of New York and Mildred Johnson of Orange, Virginia; a host of cousins, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
