Michael H. Brown

Michael Henry Brown, son of Charles Henry Brown and the late Gladys Wright, was born July 27, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on May 2, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. He attended Baltimore City Community College until he became employed at Baltimore Washington International Airport where he worked for 17 years before his illness forced him to stop working. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church where he attended regularly until unable to do so. Michael was a respectful son and very helpful to his father during his mother’s long illness. He took over responsibility for the care of his maternal grandmother, Agnes Wright, and oversaw all aspects of her care and support in the many years preceding her passing, all this while fighting a debilitating illness of his own.Michael made numerous friends wherever he went, and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. The family appreciates the many doctors, nurses, technicians and staff at the several medical facilities where he was treated, for the many kind expressions and remembrances of his good nature, quiet demeanor, fighting spirit, and accepting grace.After his illness caused serious disability, he went to live in Anne Arundel County with his very, very best friend, John Hough, where he received steadfast support, loving care, and strong advocacy in his battle to live as long as he could with a quality of life that made life worth fighting for. The family thanks John, and appreciates him and the entire Hough family for their 20 year friendship with the Brown family and for their support for Michael during those years. Michael loved amusement parks, video games, board games, listening to music, writing music, playing musical instruments, and watching movies. He was a devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend.He leaves to mourn: his father, Charles H. Brown, Jr.; sister, Jacqueline Brown; three brothers, Charles Pinnick, Milton Brown and Jonathan Brown; nieces, nephews, a goddaughter, Kia Johnson; a godson, Michael Louis Hough; and a host of other relatives and friends.
