Michael A. Elmore

MICHAEL A. ELMORE, son of Dorothy Elmore and Harold Elmore, Sr., was born on June 15, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life unexpectedly on August 3, 2011. Michael graduated from City High School in 1970. he had a short stint in the United States Army. After that, he worked for Levinson & Klein and several other jobs. He settled at a career in Security at Maryland General Hospital. He worked there for over thirty years. He literally gave his life for his job he died while at work, a place where his love and dedication to duty was unparalleled. Michael loved sports, loved to joke with people, but did not take any stuff from anyone. He also loved to travel visiting places such as St. Thomas, Virgin Island, Puerto Rico, New Orleans and many other places. Michael loved the Lord. He read his Bible daily and prayed always. He was a true friend, a gentleman and a great brother. Michael never married, but he had a great relationship with his work family, especially his BFF, his Dear and trusted friend, his Road Partner, his work wife and he was her work husband, true friend since 1987, Regina Jones. Michael made numerous friends wherever he went. He touched other people's lives in quiet way. He was a true friend and brother – a devoted man. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother , Dorothy Elmore, adopted father, Robert Covington; five brothers, Robert (Renee) James, Louis (Delmetria) Elmore, Sr., Harold Elmore, Reginald(Shervon) Elmore,Sr., and Maurice(Dorothea) Elmore, Sr.; adopted brother, Reginald Eley; three sisters, Karen (Sylvester) Daughtry, Teresa (Gerald) Felton and Patricia Elmore, eight nieces (his favorites), Tierra (Jamal) Backmon, Sr. and Twanda Echols, Latanya Elmore, Valerie Elmore, Chanice Echols, Sharese Elmore, Angela Elmore and Cierra Elmore; fifteen nephews, Robert P. James, Renard M. James, Rodney James, Dameun Elmore, Louis B. Elmore, Louis H. Elmore,Jr. Davon Elmore, Dwayne Elmore, Reginald B. Elmore, Jr., Shaun Elmore, Wade Dickens, Damian Echols, Maurice Elmore,Jr.,Marcus Elmore and Martazz Elmore; and twenty-three great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
