Mary Lilly Williams

MARY LILLY WILLIAMS was born at Johns Hopkins Hospital to the late Lillie Mae and Charlie James in Baltimore, Maryland. Her life was taken suddenly on October 25, 2010 in the streets of East Baltimore a block from her childhood home. Mary grew up attending various Baltimore City Public School, Collington Square Elementary School and Herring Run Junior High School. From there Mary attended Job Corp and held various jobs throughout he life. Mary was Preceded in death by (son) Parnell Williams, (nephew) Tony D. Wardlow, (brother) Charlie T. Williams (mother) Lillie Mae Williams, (uncle) Oscar Sutton, (father) Charlie J. Williams and (good friend ) Ms. Rosetta. Mary made numerous friends in Baltimore,Maryland and wherever she went. Mary had lots of good times from cookouts with family and friends to just having a beer and sitting on the fronts steps. She could always find something to say to make your day better . Everyone knew that Mary was coming because they could hear her before she even got there. She will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. Mary was a very outgoing person, who loved to travel and was very adventurous. Mary Williams leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: three siblings, Pauline E. Wardlow, Arthur R. Williams (Angela) and Johnnie J. Williams; one uncle, Randolph Sutton (N.C.); three aunts, Ann Jenkins (N.C.), Laverne DeMinds and Vanessa Roscoe, two children, Michelle M. Thornton and Chris C. Williams; three grandchildren, Robin ,Todd and Chelsie; and a host of niece, nephew, other relatives and friends. Mary (Mommy) Williams was blessed with two children whom She was very proud of, Chris and Michelle. Chris excelled all throughout school. Soon after high school graduation, Chris joined the united States Army where he now serves his country as a Sergeant. Michelle was always a grandma's baby (Lillie Mae), were she picked up her love for cooking. It was not long after high school that she decided to make a career out of it. She attended Baltimore International College where she completed an Associated Degree in Professional Cooking in Baking(Culinary Arts). Michelle is now holding the position as a Dietary Supervisor. Mary was always a true friend and a devoted mother and will be truly missed by all.
