Maria Turnage

Maria Turnage, was the second daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. John H. and Mary Turnage, born August 3, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland. "Ria" as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was raised in East Baltimore. In 1984, Maria graduated from Patterson High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after, she enrolled in Essex Community College, obtaining an Associate's degree. As a young adult, she worked at Matilda Koval Medical Center as a Medical Assistant. In addition, she also worked for John Hopkins Intrastaff as a Medical Records Clerk. Maria's most recent professions were at Kohl's Warehouse in 2013 and as a decorater at Edible Arrangements. Maria was a wonderful writer and she loved to read her bible. Maria was also an outdoors person, she never stayed in one place and was known and loved everywhere she went. Maria was known for always smelling good and always keeping herself up to date with the latest fashions. She also LOVED her jewelery! Maria was a very outspoken individual, she spoke her mind no matter what. Maria enjoyed and lived her life to the fullest. One of Maria's last quotes was "Don't cry for me, I've done everything I wanted to do; I've partied on every block and every club that I wanted to and I had fun doing it, not caring what anybody thought." Maria enjoyed spending time and laughing with her long time partner and friend, Mr. Randy Pendleton, in her words "My Husband". She loved her children, grandson, and family dearly. On January 10, 2018, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, Maryland, Maria slipped peacefully into eternal rest. Maria will foreverbe missed and remembered for her smile, warm heart, and strong personality. This will be a constant reminder of the love we all shared Maria leaves to cherish her fond memories: Two daughters, Donnisha M. Silver and Randi M. Pendleton; One son, Kelsey K. Lee, a grandson, Marcellus J. Lee; long time partner and friend, Mr. Randy Pendleton. Sister, Minnie Joseph; brother, Joe Caribbean. Beloved nieces and nephews: Shavonia, Nakisha, Kenneth, Kirk, Rashia, Trey, Travis, Marcus. Great niece, Demi and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
