Manuel Burnett

MANUEL BURNETT was born on October 5, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, and passed away on June 5, 2025, at home in Bowie Maryland. Manuel received his wings! Glory, Hallelujah! Everyone who knew him called him “Manny.” Manny’s birth parents were Samuel Burnett Sr. and Ruth Springfield. Ruth passed away, while giving birth to twin boys, Samuel (the oldest), and Manny. Manny was cared for by his Foster Parents, Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Connie Bridges, who also took care of other foster children. Manny attended several Special Education schools in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his education. Manny also worked in Housekeeping Services from 2012-2016, while working at The ARC. Manny was a client under Changing People’s Lives (CPL) Organization, for many years, until his passing. Throughout his tenure at CPL, Manny was cared for by good-hearted people whom Manny thanked God for, who took wonderful care of him. Manny’s caretakers included: Mrs. Evonne Freeman-Topp, Deacon John and Mother Marilyn Johnson, and Mr. Guy and Mrs. Elaine Youmbi. Manny was saved; he gave his life to Christ and he never looked back. He was a committed member of several churches. His foundation began at his home church of Charity Community Church of God where Bishop Henry and Lady Harriet Thornes were his Pastoral covering. Manny was also a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church (Rev. Dr. Walter Scott (Sr.) and Lady Patricia Thomas), Fountain of Life Church of the Living God World Wide Ministries Inc. (Apostle Bishop Samuel and Sister in-law Apostle Delphinia Burnett), and New Elevation World Wide Ministries Inc. (Apostle Bishop Samuel and Sister in-law Lady Myasha Burnett). Manny’s Favorite Scripture in the Bible was: Psalm 122 1-2 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.” Manny was preceded in death by his father Samuel Burnett Sr.; mother Ruth Springfield; foster parents Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Connie Bridges; three sisters-in-law Delphinia Burnett, Darlene McNeil and Kimberly McNeil; and sister-in-love Linda (Cat) Painter. Manny is survived by: his one and only twin brother, Apostle Bishop Samuel Burnett Jr.; Sister in-law Lady Myasha Burnett, Deacon John, and Mother Marilyn Johnson. Sisters: Nancy Talley; Shirley Barnes; Terri Bowie, and Sister in-law Cindy McNeil. Brothers in-law: Raymond Talley, and Kenneth McNeil. Great uncle: Otis Springfield; Great aunt: Marion Degraffenreid. Nieces: Donna (Penny) Beverly (spouse), Denise (Niecy) Nwosa (spouse), Shirley Barnes, Shetina Maxwell (Corey), and Angela Brown (Joseph). Nephews: James Barnes (spouse). Jaimeus (JB) Barnes (spouse). Grand Nieces: Bria, Jayda, Naomi, Ariel,Diamond, and Autumn. Grand Nephews: Jodan, Tyrique, Darius, Angelo, Jonathan, Jaydon, and Jaxson. Cousins: Rev. Carl Engram (Prophetess Torey), Elder Harvey Marshall (Kim); Marie (Peggy) Wiley (Gary), Glenda Springfield, Mary Springfield, Gloria Galloway, and Rev. Debbie Springfield; and other family and friends.
