Mamie Lee Parker

MAMIE L. PARKER, daughter of Palmetta Parker and the late Merrill Parker, was born on July 1, 1945 in Harford, Connecticut. She departed this life on March 1, 2013 after a lengthly illness. She received her education at Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Later, she landed into a career at the University of Maryland where she worked for twenty-five plus years. She left due to her having to battle an untimely illness. Mamie was loved wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. She was always a true friend and a devoted family woman. She leaves to mourn: her mother, Palmetta Parker; son, Earl Parker; daughter, Marie Martin; sister, Melodie Hinton; three brothers, Donald Parker, Henry Rasberry and Eligat Rasberry; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Parker, Diane Parker and Kristine Parker; brother-in-law, John Highter; granddaughter, Sade V. Allen; two grandsons, Justin Martin and Darryl Holmes; nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Change of Address Please be advised that I have moved. I received a call the other day from GOD, the chief architect, and He informed me that my new home was complete. You all knew that I had been working on my building, sending up my timber, packing up, and getting ready to go. I knew my mansion needed some finishing touches and that the chief carpenter, Jesus Christ had to inspect it and give me the final approval. On Friday, March 1, 2013 at 4:45 a.m., He let me know that my mansion was complete and I could move in. So He told me to go ahead and change my address. Well my new home is finished and what a sight it is to behold. It is located on an exclusive estate area behind beautiful pearly gates. It is over the other side of a serene celestial shore. Of course, you know the streets are paved with gold and everyday is Sunday; just like you’ve been told. Trees with twelve manners of fruit, grace my garden and I can walk and talk with my Savior without a worry or a care. There’s peace, happiness and joy here, and of course, there is no more pain or heartache, no strife or discontent, only sweet serenity... you don’t have to worry about me. I can sit at the Master’s bountiful table and listen to a Heavenly choir. And best of all, my Heavenly Father is here in all His glory. I have my own designer who has fitted me with my own white robe and my own wings. I could go on and on about my new home but instead I am going to pray that you will get to move here yourself one day. Oh, before I go let me give you my new address: Mamie L.
