Maggie Ringo

MAGGIE JACKSON RINGO, daughter of the late Will and Lencie Jackson of Wadesboro, North Carolina, was born February 19, 1931. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Homewood Future Care facility in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her formal education in the North Carolina School System. After graduating from the Anson County Training School, she moved to Newark, New Jersey. Maggie met and married Willie Martinez Ringo, and from this union, three children were born: Cheryle Benita, Willie Martinez, Jr., and Linda Cathy Ringo. Maggie loved her children and wanted a "positive lifestyle" for herself and them. Desiring to relocate, she and her family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She made many, many sacrifices, and she worked tirelessly at many jobs! She was also employed at the Bendix Corporation, the General Electric Corporation and the Elizabeth Clooney Agency. She attended Huber Memorial Church while her health was good! Some of the simple pleasures of life which she enjoyed most were "sitting on the porch, basking in the sun, and drinking coffee." "O, how she loved to drink coffee!" She was an exceptional cook, and she loved to cook "southern dishes." Baking cakes and sweet potato pies were two of her family's favorites! She enjoyed fellowshipping with her family and friends! She loved "family gatherings", especially on holidays! Her friendly smile was genuine and generous! She was "Never a Complainer" whether "in good or bad health!" Her great-grandaughter, "MarciannaRingo", predeceased her in Year 2002.She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Cheryle Benita and Linda Cathy Ringo; and one son, Willie Martinez Ringo, Jr.; one grandson, Marc Ringo; three great-grandchildren, Bria, Marc, Jr. and Malek Ringo; five brothers, Melvin, George and James Jackson (Baltimore, Md.), Otis Jackson (Randallstown, Md.) and Symuel Jackson (Newark, New Jersey); one sister, Fannie Wiley (Bronx, New York); four sisters-in-law, Billie and Yvonne Jackson (Randallstown, Md.), Frances and Michelle Jackson (Baltimore, Md.); a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends!
