Lynn Ann Smith

Lynn Ann Smith, daughter of the late Clifton and Eleanor Metz, was born on October 16, 1946 in White Plaines, NY. She departed this life on May 7, 2004 after a lengthy illness.Lynn was educated in the Greensburg, NY School System. Sears employed her for many years working in the Credit Department. Prior to her illness, she was employed by the United States Postal Service.In 1996, Lynn along with her family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Her many years of illnesses did not prevent her from loving and living life within her capacity. She loved her family.Her illness prevented her from physically going to church, but her illness did not prevent her from trusting in the Lord. She watched the inspirational channels religiously and absorbed the Word of God.One to the fun topics for the family was how Lynn and Bob, her husband, met. The word was Bob “stalked her until he got her.”Lynn and Bob met in Greensburg, NY and were united in Holy Matrimony on April 8, 1966. Two daughters were born from this union, Michelle and Melissa. Lynn and Bob were married 35 wonderful years until Robert’s death. She remained a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Family was extremely important to Lynn. Her hobbies included reading, interacting with her grandchildren and most of all she loved to laugh. She was especially fond of her son-in-law, Patrick and loved him more like a son, than a son-in-law. She was always willing and ready to give advice. She adored her Aunt Bernice Neal, “Aunt Bunny,” who moved from Chicago, Illinois to help with her care; Aunt Bunny was dedicated to the end. “Grandma Smith” (Lottie) also was committed and dedicated.She leaves to mourn: her daughters, Michelle Warner (son-in-law, Patrick0 and Melissa Smith of Baltimore, MD. two grandchildren, Reginald Lennon Robert Peoples and Arielle Eleanor Lynn Warner; two nephews, James Smith Jr. and Michael DeJarnette one aunt, Bernice Neal “Aunt Bunny” and her mother-in-law, Lottie Smith. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of other relatives and friends.
