Mrs. Louise Maria Greene-Scott was born February 22, 1935 to the late Minnie Haskins Greene and Junius Greene, Jr. A TIME TO PLANT......... At an early age, Louise confessed Christ and began her Christian experience at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Hallsboro, Virginia under the leadership of Rev. George W. Manning. She was a faithful member of Greater Refuge Church of our Lord Jesus Christ until her health declined. She was educated in the Chesterfield Public School System and graduated from Carver High School. She continued her studies at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), where she received her license as an LPN. Her nursing career spanned more than 35 years working at MCV, Westport Manor and Richmond Memorial Hospital. She retired with more than 20 years at Westminster Canterbury. A TIME TO BUILD.......... Louise loved her family and they always came first in her life. When the grandchildren were born, her love escalated to another level. A loving, sincere and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be deeply missed but never -forgotten. A TIME TO DIE............ On Monday, July 10, 2017, Louise Maria Greene-Scott transitioned from her earthly home peacefully into eternal rest. A TIME TO SAY GOODBYE............. Louise leaves a host of loved ones to cherish her memory: two daughters, Edna Byrd (Rolf) and Gaylia Porter; two sons, Anthony (Shernell) and Darryl Scott (devoted caregiver); two grandsons, Orlando Byrd and DeAngelo Burton; two great grandchildren, Xavier Byrd and Layla Burton; one brother, Thomas Greene; three sisters, Mary Bland, Marlene Goodwyn (Everette) and Arlene Clarke (Danny); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and devoted friends, Barbara Bentley, Edith Mae Coleman, Dorothy Townes, Robert Garrett, Florence Burrell and Bessie James.
